No range? You mean it's supposed to be a ranged weapon? No wonder why all the people I killed at point-blank range didn't look so healthy...

It's completely possible to end the game without combat.

I know, I tried to avoid the 'cowboy approach' with my weaker, smarter character, but she mostly ended using those skills to buy cool shit to blow stuff up with. Why debate when almost everyone in her way justs goes up in smoke with two hits?

On the other hand, I did negotiate with the last guy using my slightly strong, agile character. Mostly because he'd whoop my ass any other way, though.

Most Miniguns suck against armored opponents unless you get a critical. Some
opponents in FOT will take several hundred rounds of ammunition before they go
down. Automatic Shotsguns outclass Miniguns if you fire at point-blank range and
you get several ammo types to choose from. EMP is really nice against opponents
in power armor. Same goes for .50DU round fired by an HMG.

Reinstalled Fallout 2 and patched it you bastards!

I remember, I had, or possibly have, a trainer/patch/mod for Fallout 2 that let you have and walk around in the FINAL boss's power armor, and use weapons not normally accessible to you such as the 'turret guns' in the fortress and the final boss's railgun, plus the 'hidden weapons', which were weapons they put in but never skinned or put in the game anywhere, like the phazor and the bow and arrow. Now THERE'S an overinflated sense of self-esteem...!

It's too bad the game was never fully competed or patched (for instance, you can get antigrav plates for your car only if you buy the car after blow up the Enclave oil derrick)

Is it just me or is the fallout series missing out on the john woo touch? I want to wield two pistols dammit!

That's why you take a luck of 10 and the sniper perk, because that combination guarantees that every single shot is a critical hit.

these spore plants accidentially hit a dog, and this wild pack
of dogs turned onto every spore plant

lol

I just stole 80 shotgun shells, then sold them to
harry at vault city to buy a MP10...

I then tried to steal ANOTHER MP10 - he catches me
stealing, and with the first burst from my new MP10,
I just mowed him down - BLEW HIM IN HALF!

Murder One, the best way to set yourself up in Fallout 2,
since I now have a .223 rifle and shitloads of body armor
I can pawn off

WTF? I've played Fallout 2 over a half-dozen time, discovering something new each time- but wtf?

Download an items editor. You can get a hold of things you didn't think existed, including unique, yet useless, items that 95% of players never manage to find.

It would just be something like a twice damage perk.

Pah, that's not two pistols though

I know, but with the structure of the game, you would barely be able to see a guy holding two pistols, and the damage would just be twice damage of a single weapon.

Too hard to see to make it worthwhile.

I think I've found a bug with Fallout 1, or at leadt something screwed up with my game.

The only things it involves are Dogmeat and the Plasma rifle, AFAIK. If I shoot at an enemy, and (due to a miss or or just Dogmeat getting in the way) it accidentally hits Dogmeat and fires him to a crisp, the game crashes back to the desktop. A real pain in the ass, becasue I like that dog (he's got tons of Action Points).

Anywho, I'm a strong advocate for a Fallout 3, but not anything really fancy in graphics at all (hell, as long as it's hi-resolution, I'd be perfectly fine with 2D), just lots of depth and variations for stuff. I'd really like to see some options for character appearance, and some kind of multiplayer feature (not anything MMO, just a basic 16-player LAN or Diablo-esque servers). It would be interesting to form your own 3-person party and have control over each, or just have 2 other players with you.

The Fallout guys are currently working on Lionheart, which is Fallout's SPECIAL system but in a wierd medieval alternate history world. I'll be getting it. Unfortunately, it doesn't have Fallout's gore.

If Fallout 3 happens, I'd like to see the following

- High resolution graphics, but don't have to be polygons.
- Every gun looks different- i.e. you can tell what's been carried
- Definitely John Woo two pistols/SMGs at the same time
- More of the cool guns they had in Brotherhood of Steel, a game I liked a lot
- Return of the car
- Combine the area in Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 together, and add a new area for Fallout 3 for an even more massive playing field

erm .... that's it for now.

I bought Fallout 2 but never played it beyond a few minutes. I have a bad habit of doing that.

In Fallout 1 I was Blackjack from Vault 13, I used the sniper rifle.

I'd actually like to see a Fallout game set in Europe...
