Personally, I think Bush should be renamed Ultra Magnus, but that's just me...

In other news, massive firefights have broken out as the Dinobots engaged Devastator, destroying Kirkut in the massive battle. While the Dinobots have been beaten back, Autobot reinforcements have arrived and have begun to engage the Decepticon menace.

Also in other news, a massive object has recently devoured Mars, and has set course for Earth. NASA is rather alarmed, while SETI officials have made the following comment: "Oh, shit."

No, more like Slag. Grimlok had class.

I see... basically, the same argument used in favor of the Galactic Empire.

Not that there's any problem with that.

Raksha ignores all evidence from the comics and any other evidence that contridicts her own view. I can't believe that she only uses seasons one and two of the cartoon to justify her position since your IQ drops ten points every time you go through those damned episodes.

Well, you can make a case for almost any villain. That doesn't mean that the case is completely accurate, nor does it mean that the case is completely inaccurate.

The Autobots can be extremely annoying at times, usually when they make decisions that have bases on shaky morals. Take G1 comic #53; the two Autobots refuse to take the microchips that can repair their companions, and tell the Mechannibals, who have proved untrustworthy in the past to rebuild the robots they've taken the chips from. Nevermind that the scavengers are more likely to sell the chips to the next bidder, and that the chips would be of more use to the galaxy's inhabitants if the Autobots were able to repair themselves.

Of course, the Decepticons aren't exactly brilliant themselves. Rather than simply going to the Moon and building a solar energy converter--certainly not out of the reach of their technology--they engage in foolhardy schemes to take the energy resources of Earth. And when they are given the chance to get an operational nuclear reactor, which could supply them with plenty of energy, they don't bother learning how it works and instead build a castle out of it.

Mmm? G1 Transformers is the REAL Transformers, and Beast Wars/Robots in Disguise etc are not. Raksha is admittedly pro-Con, but criticizing her for ignoring those terrible other series perpetrated under the name of Transformers isn't right.

Note that this isn't at all like the Star Wars EU, apart from G1 Transformers, everything else is a different story about different characters set in a different place.

God is dead.
And why not it's whats it's all about, just like how people take sides in Star Wars, Empire or Rebels, or trek or wars.

To be honest I always thought pro-bad guyism was a uniquely SW phenonmenon- at least in comparison to Transformers- like come on, how much room for interpretation could there be, especially as this person is basing it off *cartoons*?

I don't see the difference, it's a series, it's not real, it's the same thing in other words, please don't look down on others given that stuff happens regularly here thats far beyond that article.

Actually, I was a big fan of the bad guys in some of my old cartoons. Namely in He-Man, Transformers, and G.I. Joe. The bad guys were just so much cooler. A little more I.Q. definitely, but the concepts were sweet. :D

The real Transformers? The real Transformers are Diaclone and Microchange  Everything under the TF brand name is a Transformer. Deal with it.

Infinities is "Star Wars Infinities" but how many people consider that the real Star Wars? Raksha writes about what people commonly accept as the real Transformers, the G1 television series. Even if Hasbro had some continuity policy which gave Beast Wars equal canonicity as G1, I'd anashamedly ignore such a policy.

We're not talking about Star Wars. Lucas can do his own shit, but as far as Hasbro and Takara are concerned, anything they promote as Transformers are the real Transformers. The G1 cartoon isn't any more real than any other part of the franchise.

Well He's in good company, the Lucasfilm Insider has already pointed out that there is a Navy pilot who changed his name to "Wedge Antilles" and his call sign to Wedge's.
