A little plastic toy or a custom plushie?
The toy, but she also made herself a sexy fluttershy costume out of some spare fur and wings we had. Apparently she picked that character because that was the colour we had spare and 'she looked fun to roleplay'. Alas, she won't let me take pictures of her in any of the not-approved-for-public-places costumes.

I also received Ace Combat 7, which turned out to be junk, Skyrim, which I haven't played yet, and assorted DVDs, articles of clothing and sweets. Last year I gave my close family tablet PCs; this year I gave everyone three large tins of Mountain House 30-year freeze dried food. The supplier told me that he was getting a lot of orders from City of London financial people this year.

you'd think that wives and my little ponies would be mutually exclusive...

Yes, why? I mean, at worst I can imagine happening is that the wife laughs herself hoarse.

Interaction from the assholes on TOB.

Oh, and an XBox Kinect. Just Dance 3 is way more exercise than I'd anticipated.

It would best she discovers this as a wife and not a girlfriend.

A wife finding a husband obsessed with My Little Pony: bewildered amusement
Girlfriend finding boyfriend obsessed with MLP: "What the fuck is with this guy?"

That shit is pretty intense, hey? I know a guy who plays with his kids for fun, but then he hits his home gym since he's already warmed up.

I got a beard/moustache trimmer so my choices are no longer totally clean shaven (not my best look) or total caveman; some chocolate; socks and some lounge wear for around the house; a $50 gift card for Walmart and a $25 gift card for subway; and $20 from my little brother. However the gifts were nothing next to having a family Christmas in my Mom's new house and finally meeting her significant others half of the family. I was a little worried because my Mom has this way of worrying that seems to be contagious, but we had a blast. Best Christmas in years.

Boring, practical christmas for me. Mostly clothes. Giftcards; Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Bertuccis. A couple tools, a couple personal grooming items.

Oh, and Armor, WorldWar, American Gods, New Barbarians/Cry Republic (the last two books of a trilogy, no first book so far.)

My kid sister wins the award for most thoughtful/likely to make me laugh. She brought a 6x4 in. wooden plague and burned a Firefly quote into it. :)

Assorted DVDs, Skyrim, and a make-your-own-soda machine.

My Dad got me two high powered flashlights.

I seem to get a lot of devices used for lighting from him. Last year it was...another high power LED flashlight. The year before that a headlamp.

My wife and I simply bought ourselves gifts, since we are currently a 1 income household. So, I got 5 bargain books from Books-A-Million (Green Barbarians by Ellen Sandbeck, The Ultimate Guide to Homesteading by Nicole Faires, A Brief History of the Vikings by Jonathan Clements, and The Lost Gospel by Herbert Krosney).

My mom got me Saints Row the Third, Forza 4 Motosports, and Paul. My brother's sending me something in the mail, but I don't know what it is yet.

My wife got Skyrim, clothing, and shoes.

My son got approximately 8 million Thomas the Train toys, a few Cars toys, clothes, Cars 2, Toy Story, and some dinosaur and sealife toys.

Some winter gloves, a balaclava, a scarf, and a nice warm hat (I recently transplanted to Ohio from California, where such things are rather foreign), some nice clothes, a nice toiletry bag, Uncharted 3 and Yakuza 4, money which will immediately be swallowed by repairing my car's heater, sheet music for guitar and piano, and a book about Glenn Gould.

I also received some pretty good Scotch. I've never heard about the distillery (Craigellachie) before, but it's 9 year old cask strength that spent its entire maturation time in sherry casks instead of the usual bourbon. Despite being so young, it's pretty good and fairly smooth.
