It's not actually the sides that are sloped so much as the bottom.

A Pig is an old armoured car, we used to use one at one of the airsoft sites I play at. They're a bugger to get in and out of with your kit on, not a lot of room. More than once we ended up in a pile at the back when trying to dismount into action.
