My biggest problem is that I don't have a boyfriend to give a steak or blowjob to. See, as everybody knows, blowjobs have a tendency to turn into sex, which is pretty awesome. I guess whenever I get a boyfriend I can give him a steak and blowjob regardless of whether or not it's steak and blowjob day or not, but this sounds kinda fun. Sort of like talk like a pirate day, except for couples.

My only problem with this holiday is that for some strange reason, every girlfriend I've ever had has been a terrible cook, so I have issues with trust when it comes to women and cooking in general, and the grill in particular. So I'd end up grilling the steak.

I'll still take the blowjob, though.

I propose a compromise - following up steak-and-a-bj with a large helping of Pie. I can't think of a holiday in the world that could beat that.

I normally don't have steak for lunch, but today I did, and it was worth it. This is a holiday which should be celebrated every month, we should replace all the regular statutory holidays with Steak & Blowjob holidays.

I'm totally not even celebrating this.

I have good news, bad news, and worse news. The bad news is that I was heading for a trainwreck of a disaster; the girl I wanted to ask out still has feelings for her ex, who happened to be a buddy of mine. The good news is that I was able to bring the train to a halt before it overran the buffer stop, so a crisis has been averted by a bit of quick thinking, and retain both their friendships. The worse news is that the second train is coming right behind this one and their brakes have malfunctioned.

On the bright side, I've noticed that every rejection and disaster I go through comes with a corresponding increase in computer savviness, so at least that's a plus. Excuse me while I go try to find out if it's possible to dual-boot FreeBSD on an Xbox.

Haven't celebrated so far, but I'm going to leave in about two hours to pick up my girlfriend.

The good news is that she's taking me out for steak, we're stopping to get some pie afterward and then heading back here to finish off the festivities.

The bad news? If it comes to that, I'll leave it for the vent thread.

The Other Half said he was in the mood for chocolate, and corn chips with sour cream, not steak*. Maybe because we had steak in the beef and broccoli stir fry yesterday. Fortunately, his food choice was easy to accommodate.

* Other Half does eat meat, but we're both edging over into "Flexitarians". How he arrives at some food combinations, though, is beyond me, but whatever makes him happy...

My two attempts at being festive today were utter failures, what is it with the Sexual Harassment writeup's? If someone said happy Waffles and Reach-around day I'd say it right back no look at me oddly or go for the Mace.

So what's with the crazy looks when I happly great my boss with "Happy Steak and BJ day sir!, it's that time of year again already!"

Yeah I'm fning kidding, I'm at work taking calls and I've had two hours of sleep even without being between SO's I'd fall right asleep if I got either.

So we flipped it all caddywonkus. We did Spaghetti and Pussy Eating on the stairs. Much better in my opinion.

I had ribs for dinner, but no touching of any kind. Went out with family instead.

I saw a couple at the restaurant, I thought it was cute that she got the steak and he got the ribs. Kinda pissed that they got their food before us, and actually got there dessert done before our food even arrived. We ordered our drinks before they did, too. And the delay meant we couldn't see Gran Torino.

I'm going to call someone up tomorrow and go watch the movie. Perhaps I can get the other half of today's holiday then.

all I have to say is today was GREAT!

I cannot recall the last time my balls have felt so drained. What a fantastic holiday. It should really be recognized at the federal level.

PS. The steak was good too.

I did two .75oz New York Strip steaks in an iron skillet for the two of us, and they were delicious. I coated them with a mix of .5 tsp cayenne pepper, 1tsp ground black pepper, 1tsp garlic powder, and 1tsp salt. Made for a very nice light crust on the steaks. I also quickly made some tossed salad, grabbed a bottle of red wine, glasses, and lit a few candles. It's amazing just how easy and quick it is to set all of this up, maybe 20 minutes from start to finish, provided you already have everything stocked at home.

Afterward, though, we somehow got so caught up in the "sex now!" thought that we completely forgot the BJ part and just dived into the deep end of the pool for a great 20 minute stint. I did not mind that at all.

Mine also included these, which are fucking brilliant.
