Question: I noticed the litter of kitterns had a fairly diverse set of fur. Is that normal?
With Bengals, yes. The parents, or at least the mother, has the snow genes as recessive, which is why one of the kittens has that coloring. The snow kitty has the leopard spot pattern, just like the other two. The coloring differences are all well within normal range for Bengals.

You can see a fairly good selection of the different patterns and colorings here, just select the "Our Cats" link from the sidebar. There's lots of Bengal galleries on the net, the problem is finding good ones, and the Sirucats gellery is one of those. My kitty is coming from a different breeder, though.

It varies, but usually from the get-go. It's not the status that varies, it's the way they express it.

More kitty pics, and I only have a week and half to wait now! :D

She looks like she's going to be a holy Terror, at least for the two ragdolls you got. Already practicing her "stalk and jump on old fogey roommate" technique.

Going to supply much kitten-fu when she finally moves in and curls up in the most inconvenient spot in the entire apartment, Edi?

Huzzah! However else tomorrow goes, I'll have kittypics to look at on my birthday. Almost as cute, no litter box on the same continent.

remember kitten will get into any space no matter how improbable it's getting there may seem....

Still don't know how parent's old kitty managed to get onto roof of victorian house....

Oh, I know she'll be all over the place. Topi (the larger ragdoll) managed to get into all kinds of nooks just fine.

Your parents' cat probably just climbed the outside wall. GF's coworker has a cat who climbs the outside wall to the second story window when he comes home at night and raps on the window with his paw to let the servant know that the master wants to come in.

Old style Victorian era house with wooden walls? Ka-ching! Claws out and up the wall, no problem!

New kittypics will probably appear on Saturday. Not tomorrow, as I'll be busy watching as the kitty settles in and that the other cats don't pound her to a pulp.

yes, wooden walls, and it's a foot and a half from the wall to the gutters, then over the metal gutters to the tile roof... Freakin ninja cat.

Though it is fun to see Dad's poor arthritic pound cat (Declawed)* trade blows with Teacher Stepmom's school yard stray (fully armed), as the younger better equipped cat seems to know and keeps her weapons in their sheathes.

*my parent's don't believe in declawing, the cat came that way from an animal shealter. And he's been a very good kitty, especially for a shelter kitty.

What's the matter, Edi? Cat got your tongue? :)

Or hasn't she stayed still long enough to get a decent photo of her?

Have a few pics, but no more. There's a lot to do just to get her settled in and making sure the bigger cats don't make mincemeat out of her.

Arrival

Inlined. I need to fix this pic up later.

The brave, brave ragdolls... Pinkku, the one with the black face and diamond marking on the forehead, is still terrified of the kitty. Topi doesn't like her, growls at her at every opportunity.

The first one was taken when she appropriated my chair. The other three are from yesterday. I took the second pic in the morning and the last two were by my GF yesterday evening.

How is she settling in, Edi? And is Pinkku still terrified of her?

She's settled in well. It took Pinkku a few days to get used to her, but now they're friends. Even if he does find her tiring sometimes. Topi only growls at her now if she comes nose to nose with him, otherwise he prefers to ignore her.

Will put up some more pics later this week.

Good to hear that she's settling in. The situation will probably continue to improve over the next couple of weeks.
