I think Ted needs to be banned or at least take some time off from posting here. It isn't good to post if everyone knows that he has lost his facade.

I'm agreeing with Knife on this.

In my opinion, Ted's behavior of late seems to reveal him as a sadist. Not the mild BDSM kind, but someone who truly hurts other people for their own pleasure.

I say he should be punnished for his heartless behavior.

Ted, listen, there is no way for you to justify or talk your way out of the mess you're in right now. Quit making excuses and stop trying to justify yourself, it's not going to work because there's no substance behind it. Face the fact that you screwed up, you are at fault, no ifs, ands, or buts, and deal with it. This is not a time for pride or arguing, admit that you're wrong, apologize, and most importantly think and reflect on your actions as of late so this doesn't happen again.

No, I don't think a perm ban would do that much good. Rather, apologize to all parties, give it a week for tempers to cool, and then calm down and start to think before you type, instead of coming off so callous/uninformed.

NO, that is the easy and quite frankly the bullshit way out of it. If you get banned, weather you actually ask for it or not, you are side stepping your responsibility of standing up and acting like a man and APOLOGIZING. Don't try to slime your way out of it with excusses and such.

Knife, Stormbringer has a point: there's no way you can force Ted into apologizing for whatever he's done. Whether Mike bans him or not, all he has to do is stop posting and his problem's over.

Partially. That was part of a large multi-front flame war.

Ted, look, Zaia didn't in any way deserve what you said to her. You can't justify what you said just by saying that someone else who is DISTANTLY related to her ended up hurting your feelings. Your behavior has not been acceptable in the last few days, and I think that you owe Zaia (if no one else) an apology for what you said.

It kinda merged with whatever the fuck was going on in ATJ and AIIF, and Ted and Ando threw some insults at Kelly as well, then everyone pretty much exploded for a second time.

True, but to have Ted come in and type blantent, heart shredding posts and then to have him throw out some bullshit excusses and get banned just leaves the impression that that kind of shit is acceptable. A statment must be made to dissude other from doing the same.

While a forced apology is not a honest apology, it serves to make a statement that you can not do the shit that he did and not suffer any consquences. If Mike justs banns him, he gets away scott free with his actions and attitudes. He already stated that he suggested to Mike that he should be banned, which shows that he already calculated that factor into his decision to be a dick. By being forced by peers to apologize, he is made to suffer consquences that he did not already pre-accept in order to be an ass.

Further, Ted's flagrant anti-Americanism certainly didn't win him any points with Skimmer, Stravo and I.

However, a perm ban is not the solution, I don't think. It may suprise some of you to learn this, but once, on a board far, far away, I was once an enormous troll and jackass of massive proportions. However, I was bitchslapped and given a chance to reform. I did, and hence you have before the I of today.

Therefor, I believe Ted should be bitchslapped, temp banned, given a while to calm down. If he thinks he can control himself, honestly apologize, and stop acting like a dick, I think he should be allowed to remain. If he does not wish this opportunity, I'm not sure how we can force an apology out of him, so, if he wishes to simply leave, he can, and good riddance in that case.
