I know you're going to say no, but do the Raptors have any actually stealth capability? I've noticed they seem to do that a lot in the AC games, they put in the F-22A, but leave out probably it's most significant feature.
Additionally, what Sukhoi's does it have?

In AC4 Raptors show-up a little fainter on radar, though they're not hard to spot. Same for the B-2 Spirit.

All stealth aircraft since AC5 (Zero and this one) disappear off your radar when they get to your six o'clock and your lock-on is broken unless you use the right stick to keep eyes on them.
So actually it increases survivability only in in-close knife fights.

It's better than nothing I suppose, however I remember some Red Flag Operation the USAF did with the Aussies where one guy said he couldn't get a lock even though he could see it clear as day out of his canopy. Oh well, so much for realism > game mechanics.

F-22s have been in wargames with Australians? I bet the USAF had fun raping the Hornets.

It was both the RAF and RAAF flying against F-22A's, a number of F-117's, and B-2A's.

Apparently, the Aggressor Pilots were really pissed off by the Raptor, as it would literally deny a lock.
"I can't see the [expletive deleted] thing," said RAAF Squadron Leader Stephen Chappell, exchange F-15 pilot in the 65th Aggressor Squadron. "It won't let me put a weapons system on it, even when I can see it visually through the canopy. [Flying against the F-22] annoys the hell out of me."
Like I said, I guess it's too much to ask for realism, but then the F-22A would be the plane of choice for everyone.

Could be traded off with a totally halved weapons count and a weaker resistance to lead?

I finished the game and had a few matches online today. I'm finding the Typhoon to be the best for use against Berkuts and Raptors.

I'm wondering how melodramaticly awesome Ace 6's story is. 'cause one of the games' most endearing factor was its melodrama. Man!

The F-2A's actually becoming my online-fighter-of-choice. It's neither fast nor slow by the high and low standards set by the A-10 and F-22 but it's fast enough to keep up a useful speed in dogfights but decidedly slow enough that in turning dogfights, I stay inside of an F-22's flight path easily enough, especially with QAAM's to offset it's advantages even more.
QAAM + opponent stalling = easy kills (and they often DO die easily as they underestimate the low-speed maneuverability of the F-2A)

I'm going to have to agree with you there. However, from what I've heard, Hearsay mind you, Its pretty short, and definatly not as great as previous installments.
Course its all a matter of opinon.

Here's a real man of genius (and I'm of two minds to doing a sketch up based on the Bud Light ads): CFA-44 railgunners that complain they aren't on the leaderboards because the points-per-kill for a railgun are very low. Even though they play the same map all damn day (which is how you get on the leaderboard, since they keep track of who does best on what maps)
I particularly love this gem:
"in fact, I'm doing it the hard way."
(edit: in fact, I'll attribute that:
xENRAGED DRAGON @ the
team battle map in the desert ON
ranked servers)
Yeah ... pointing your nose at someone and pushing a button resulting in instant death, requiring little in the way of outmaneuvering or outhinking your opponenent is the "hard way." You deserve to be penalized fuckwit.
Where as keeping a successful lock-on from your 6 turning into an ideal missile-flight path down your tailpipe can be as
simple as keeping a bogey in "scissors," a railgun negates this entirely -- as a gun would too -- but vastly improves on both the accuracy and lethality of a gun, by orders of magnitude really since the damage for the guns are proportional to your distance from the target and because you have to lead guns. (i.e., the closer you are the more damage they do, whereas the railgun seems to do about %33-50 from point-blank or halfway across the map)
