Then again, for that to work, we would have to believe that B&B are capable of thinking about how their actions have consequences for other people. That appears to be beyond them.
That might actually make sense. According to their marketing-school logic, it would be more profitable to expand the show to a wider (read: braindead, boob-watching, CGI-loving) audience rather than the Trekkies (read: dedicated core audience that sustained the series through its darkest hours.) They will pay for their lack of vision. Greedy bastards, fools to the last.
B&B have earned my eternal hatred for what they have done to this wonderful franchise. They have started a disturbing trend in sci fi shows of pandering to the lowest common denominator. Look at Andromeda, in my opinion one of the best written sci fi shows since B-5 (whoch occupies the very TOP in my opinion) UNTIL they fired the head writer and Kevin Sorbo took a greater role in crafting the stories....ALWAYS a BAD idea. Now Andromeda is as unwatchable as Enterrpise because now in Sorbo's words: they've gotten rid of pesky contuinity in order to attract more viewers, added more action and sex and toned down the cerebral stories....UGH!! With that, Andromeda died.....
Imagine if they had done that to B-5?? The future of quality Sci-fi shows is in danger thanks to the brain damaged majority looking for something "kewl" to watch.
How true! I actually watched and enjoyed all of the first season, but I really didn't like the second season. The first season had wonderful episodes actually, but now it seems like "we have a super-sexy chic as the evil villian, we're gonna blow up a lot of shit to get to her, then have her fight the super-sexy chic andriod capable of having sex with her engineer, then we're gonna haul her off and do who-know-what to satisfy the sick and twisted demographic"
off course the above may actually reflect my own fantasies than any actual episode. That's what being me does to you

It wasn't destroyed there. It took damage from the Nexus, including having a large chunk from beside the deflector dish blasted out (kirk was in that section at the time) but it still managed to leave the vacinity of the nexus with the people it had "rescued" from it.
