The Creation of Man one I know was off of somethingawful.co*, although I liked the pic of Batman(Terry) and Batman(Bruce) replacing adam and god(in that order) in almost the same positions, except for figures touching, Batman(B) is handing Batman(T) one of the new batarangs. Was my background for the good part of a month.

I spoke with him and he has indicated that he unapologetically intends to use his moderator power to eliminate what he refers to as "anti-Christian" imagery.

This goes against the moderating policies of this board, in which deletion is reserved for spam, threats, and material which could get the board in legal trouble (eg- explicit porno, outright hate literature), and even in those cases, movement to the HoS is preferable to deleting. Moreover, anti-Christian "sacrilege" is a total non-offense by the board policies, and I will not have people treating religion as the sacred cow that some would make it out to be.

So, while I hope this does not cause hard feelings, I have removed his moderator powers over this board.

It must have touched a nerve. I don't see moderate christians getting offended with images made to be sarcastic/fun. It's not sacrilege, not like a mortal offense. Only caricatures.

I've just shown the pics to my mother, just to be sure. She just laughed. I can certainly imagine Christian bashing/hating images that cannot be allowed, but this was certainly not the case. Many humouristic programs on TV have scenes with nuns, priests and guns, and they're not banned.

I really don't know what he saw of sacrilegeous in those pics.

It was hardly hate literature. If it depicted a bunch of nuns being tortured and encouraged more of the same, then it would be reasonable to delete it. Hate literature crosses the line and could actually get the board in legal trouble. But nuns with guns?

this was one of them. the nuns with guns. it´s a cd cover of a rage against the machine album. the origin is unknown but they bought the rights of this image to use it as a cd cover. this pic is straight of their homepage.
you can buy it in every fucking cd store. it is not offending in any way.

I'm a pretty moderate Christian (AKA backslider) and I'm not offended. Neither would most of my friends.
