It was two obvious Simpson's references, but to be fair it was right towards the end and still moderately funny. And he's running out of Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes to rip the piss out of and that henchman with the spiked up hair (his funniest gag) has long gone.

You know how many fanboys that would piss off? And since this is the internet, you should know what would happen next.

As for the series going dowhill, that's what happens in pretty much every running series, whether online or on T.V.

I thought the 'Zorg and Pals' shit got unfunny fast, but Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series is self-aware enough to parody itself with a help video on how to make an abridged series and mocking the series proper on how the writers were recyling storylines, while eventually making a rubbish spin-off.
