Alright. Someone with an account that hasn't been frozen, yet, PLEASE ask Pablo where the hell he wants our letters to go.

At the risk of getting flamed, let me play Devil's Advocate for a bit...

I admit I'm not familiar with the laundry list of offenses that Pablo has compiled over the years which has so many of you guys pissed off at him, but I did just read the thread on SW.com and while his initial blurb could and probably should have been delivered with more tact (or altogether shortened to end with his statement of Lucasfilm policy on the matter), I do agree with his assessment of the "Endor Holocaust" theory.

Specifically, when Pablo said: "...the model that produced [the Ewoks'] death must therefore be given secondary or less consideration. And a new model must be produced that spares them from their demise." This is exactly what I tried to convey to Curtis back when he first publicized the holocaust theory, yet he was adamant that the destruction of Endor was a physical inevitability.

Be that as it may, to this day I still don't agree with Curtis on that particular issue. I do, however, agree with Mike that there is potential for a good story in this. Surely there's an imaginative and reasonable way to explain the survival of Endor that would satisfy both camps (one that doesn't invoke The Glove of Darth Vader).

It's useless to argue more about this in the Offical Forums. The mods keeps coming with veiled threats, they edit critical statements made in posts and takes part in mocking fans which have a different opinion than themselves. I think that this issue have grown more infected than it deserved.

FWIW, I submitted a post to their Forum Feedback this 9 AM EST. I was short, but didn't say anything inflammatory. I simply told them I'm falsely accused of sock-puppeting; and if they did an IP check, they could see who I am (and who I'm not).

It's now 2:15 PM EST. Dark Moose and JTS have both posted at SW.com since I lodged my complaint. In fact, JTS just posted a long-winded (and rather uninsipired) defense of Pigaldo-style subjectivism in "the thread." I'm sure they've had plenty of time to see and review the post I submitted.

So...where is it? I know those guys are dim-witted, but it doesn't take the better part of a morning and early afternoon to do a fucking IP check. I guess they'll just sit on my post indefinitely, huh?

Just to remove a bone of contention, I'll give Lodz benefit of the doubt, and have unbanned him and answered his thread in FF. Mainly because at least Lodz knew to take his issue THERE.

He is free to post. There are multiple socks in this thread, and despite the evidence I saw, I'll take various posters' word that he's not that sock.

And he once again resorts to editing posts to "prove" his point. I can't believe this guy. How does he know that there are "multiple socks" in a thread? Furthermore, what the hell did he have for evidence if he didn't look at the IP addresses, and how could an IP check identify Sean as me?

I've never encountered such an inept staff as those at the SW.com forum, and this includes countless major 'official' websites that notoriously recruit egotistical retards to police their forums.

They are just fueling the fire with their childish actions.

amazing that SW.Com moderators seem to know nothing of IP checks, or think everyone else is so ignorant that they don't know of them either. . .

Damn good idea *nods* I'm considering just that. Primus also raises a good point...this "evidence" is probably something akin to, "Well...you and Ossus both talk about them hifalutin' logical phalluses thingies!"

A number of things about this situation get under my skin. Moose's near-obsession with you is disturbing enough, but the guy's attitude's generally quite incredible: being the a "nice guy" that he is, DM makes it sound as if he's doing me a favor by lifting the ban. He makes a vague reference to "evidence" that he essentially says he'll continue to hold over my head

Talk about a loaded "apology." Why should I accept that?

If I was as paranoid as he, I'd also voice suspicion over the timing of all this. Six minutes after my last post here (2:34 PM EST), DM "unbans" me at SW.com. (That's very likely coincidental, but it's amusing nonetheless. If you compare my predictions to what he actually did, it almost seems as if he tried to do the opposite of my expectations )

This sort of thing makes me wonder if anyone at that site is level-headed. I expected they'd cluster around Hidalgo like human shields, but the means by which they defend him are stupidly self-defeating. They honestly don't understand such behavior underscores the points many of us made over there...

After I was banned the first time, I waited for six months and then created an alternate account. I did not, as he has claimed, go around pretending to be multiple people or whatever.

And, really, the first time I was banned I didn't do anything wrong! I brought damning evidence up against Dark Moose, showing him to be a hypocritical liar who misquoted me repeatedly in an effort to get me banned, and then summarily banned me. When I returned, he was unable to present any evidence I had done anything wrong and resorted to the clause in the ToS that say they can ban someone for any reason.

Additionally, I have no idea why he's claiming I'm on my third account over there. I also have no idea why he's claiming that there are MULTIPLE sock puppets going on over there, even if he managed to consider my account to be a sock. It's not like I made any effort to conceal my identity.

Holy shit. SW.com forums sounds a lot worse than Nationstates forums. And i honestly thought that NS forums were the bottom of the barrel

I just responded to Dark Moose in the Feedback forum (5:32 PM EST). I told him that, as long as he questions my honesty, I can't accept his back-handed apology. I also asked how the IP check turned out, and just what sort of chickenshit evidence he'd compiled against me

If that gets me re-banned, so be it.

I also like the way he keeps writing in the thread that he's been "banning socks" and won't let anyone correct him in the thread even though he knows perfectly well that his own claims are false. Not to mention the fact that he made no effort whatsoever to answer the on-topic points I raised in the previous two posts. Someone should ask him what his response is to my point about the bridge falling on someone's head, since I can no longer participate in that thread.

Do it in the "Forum Feedback," section, though. That way he won't have any more convenient excuses to ban others.
