In those lines Dash would need a "Cool thing" to play with.

Working late. Yes, you pervs, that's exactly what happened and what the artist intended. Rarity was working late and Spike was helping her for very long too, eventually both falling asleep from exhaustion.
Who asked for popcorn?
A long way from home.

I really like this one for the details. Spike is likely digging his claws into Twilight's back, and yet she can still maintain the focus necessary to use her magic to protect them. I like that.
Really, the whole Twilight and Spike Parental/Sibling dynamic is one of my favorites in the show. I love when they touch upon it. Hopefully the upcoming Spike-centered episode will do so.

Those eyes are...interesting. I can't really tell you if I like them or not right now.
Also, Fillies at Play is adorable, as is Big MacIntosh showing incredible patience with the CMCs bugging him.
And yes, I want a hug.

Hey, she managed to bring in Spring on time, I'm sure she can fix the deficit.
But who would be her running mate?

Yeah, running mate = Vice President. Pony Shipping is not something I care to get into, either.

The "don't confuse me with your fancy mathematics!" pony? The pony that pulled a falling tree towards a house?
A second choice would be... well, I don't know. We need someone who is smart, can handle people and is not afraid of pushing trough people's stubbornness.
I got it!Rarity!
She would adore the role, has experience handling both people and business. As long as she doesn't get too carried away with herself (which can be a bit of a risk as she adores high society), she should do the role fine.
I mean, Fluttershy is just too, well, shy for handling people. Rainbow Dash is more of an athlete than an organizer. Pinkie Pie is... well, umm... random?
Fuck it, Pinkie Pie for vice president! She'll be throwing parties left and right, but her stalkerific skills will scare any politician into utter submission!

You can't present two unicorns : all the diversity movements will be on your back if you do that. I mean, by Equestria's standards (as evidenced by the racial layout of their nobility & high society), and to continue the parallel with american politic, that'd be like putting two WASP in the P/V-P race : it can have some appeal for a part of the electorate, but you potentially cut yourself from something like 2/3rd of it, or more like 3/4th in the case of equestria [1].
[1] : I don't know if this is just fanon, but I've read somewhere equestria is, like, 25% pegasus, 25% unicorns, and 50% earth ponies.

There is no racism in Equastria.
Nor do they discriminate based on whether someone is an unicorn or a pegasi or a "simple" Earth pony.
Your argument is invalid.
EDIT:
Actually, let me elaborate a bit. I never noticed one pony even noticing whether another pony has a horn or wings (the only time I can recall is with pegasi and then only on practical grounds). Among the "elite" of Equastria there are plenty of Earth ponies as well as Unicorns. There might even have been pegasi among them, but we couldn't tell due to the clothes.
So, I can't really imagine anyone making a fuss about what kind of pony is called in charge (nor do I think that Earth ponies "need" to have something to "compensate" against the pegasi or unicorns). I am unsure if it's canon, but it is possible that having horns or wings can be genetic, meaning that an earth pony and a pegasi can easily have a unicorn child.

I know this is an off the wall one, (like anything associated with me), how about a MLP version of Lisbeth Saladar? (The Filly with the Dragon Cutie Mark anyone)
The scariest folk song lyrics are "My Boy Grew up to be just like me" from cats in the cradle by Harry Chapin

Omg the Wallice and Gromit one is AMAZING!
I can very much see Wallice doing that too, that would be an awesome Crossover
