I'm okay either way. I'm not into this game like I was the first one, but I'm not hating it or anything, either.

Hmm. Okay, I'll just surrender then. But Covenant is definitely going to win. I already doubt that he would lose if everyone else ganged up, and once he has my territory it's a forgone conclusion. Brian has already lost, as he was counting on me coming to the rescue, which I now can't do because Covenant has attacked me. So the game is basically checkmated.

The Vulcans were out at turn 50 and I've no intention of rejoining an ST Mod game.
brianeyci wrote:I'm done with ST. I think it should be two SD.net games, with 48 hour turns. Though just because I and Tux quit that doesn't mean game over for everybody else. I don't think the game should be abandoned because it cheats people like Dalton, U235 and Trogdor who've been building up for so long. I half feel like I cheated Dalton... the Klingons were sharpening their "betleths" for so long and hardly saw any action lol.

I don't think a new game should start until either Adamant or B5 runs its course. Only because we've only got 8-10 players and we don't want anybody "burning out" with three or four games. Probably Adamant since B5 probably won't ever end. If we're bored we could always make B5 48 hour or even 36 hour turns.

Anyway if we wait until September to start a new game it gives time for Covenant to finish his mod, or for everybody else to think of mods (or if you have enough spare time make your own).

I'd join a new game right now if it was Nephtys' mod, only because it's brutally fast... no more 100 turns of nothing, it's honestly over in 30 turns.
But other than that, I'm not interested in a new game until Adamant or B5 finishes.

Three's a crowd, two's good for me for now.

Brian

OK, we're giving up the ST game, right? Because I just accidentally withdrew.

It's already checkmated. All that's left now is the cleanup.

So we're abandoning STmod then? How sad! I was really enjoying it a lot more than Adamant at the moment--I'm still considering withdrawing from that.

Apparently the computer took my turn again. WTF? I coulda' sworn I was ready for the turn. Beh. Like it'll matter anyway.

I congratulate you on taking me completely by surprise and guaranteeing your victory, but the prospect of watching my empire get torn apart turn by turn by you and Nephtys with nothing I can do about it does not appeal to me.

And after all the bartering I did with Covenant to get your comm. channels.

There will be another STmod game, I'm sure. The Monster Borg vs. multiple players alliance is still a possibility. If we can't get enough people together for that, I've had an idea in my devious little mind for a game set in the Mirror Universe for some time now that we might be able to do.

I don't mind any game really. I'm enjoying trying to outsmart whoever my nearest opponent is quite well. :)

If we really wanted to make it interesting, I'm sure we could fire up an 'east vs west' game. Where the galaxy is clearly split? Or perhaps a grid-shaped game where territory is impossible to chokepoint defend?

That could be more fun. We could call it Axis and Allies. :D
