Man, Shep, you're the best (that totally came out of nowhere, I didn't expect that AT ALL mangs).
I'd imagine they'll receive their 'guests' while on the way to Pendleton? I think the nearest place with Bragulans in it is Altacar, which is not too far from Anglia, the Outback and Pendleton.
This means we will see more of AGENT SPOZAVIK, the Bragulan Spy!

Steve wrote:So, uh, Shep, was that discussion from before the fleet left for Pendleton? And are your destroyers called "Battlestars"?
I'd place it as before the fleet left for Pendleton; that seems reasonable.
I don't think Shep ever specified exactly how big a light battlestar was. Given the context and that they're sent to operate as individual ships, I'd guess heavy cruiser or battlecruiser strength... 100 to 150 points, maybe? Armament is a mass driver and missile mix; probably fighters of some kind in keeping with the BSG theme.
The Shepistan isn't really any more distant from the theater of operations than the Umerians are, and we sent a 170-point contingent, so the Sheppis sending a single battlecruiser wouldn't be all that unreasonable given the decision to accept their support at all.

Or perhaps Agent Spozavik managed to hop over from Altacar to Lochley's to catch the Shepistani vessel RIGHT BEFORE the fleet zipped off into hyperspace?

I, uh, specifically stated we only accepted Shepistani Light-hull vessels for the invasion fleet.

EVERYTHING is called a battlestar in Shepland. Unless you go by the fanon definitions "Gunstar".

Ah. Sorry; I missed that.
OK, make the "light battlestar" a destroyer of around 50 point value, then? Certainly reasonable as a flag-showing exercise.

Shep, my offer to help you with your ORBAT stands.

Damn, no time to write stuff... *sad* Just so you know, the next installment will be huge since it would detail a lot of major Commune plans.

Well, we Umerians can certainly appreciate the role of a good solid nuclear barrage in its place...
I've got another piece set at Bannerman that should be ready today.

I see your reference there, Shroom. Don't think I didn't.
But when does Captain Grydon Feindflug start yelling "CEASE FIRE! CEASE FIRE!" in horror at the senseless slaughter of those Sovereignty marines and sailors who were just doing their duty?

Shroom won't take the reference that far. Any Bragulan who properly fears the Imperator would find it his duty to revel in the slaughter of those Sovereignty barbarians.

damn you rogueice
Bragulan: I thought you weren't ready to kill.
Captain Feindflug: I'm warmin' up.
There is another reference in there too! I hope Thanas or Siege or some European dude gets it.
But man. Damn you RogueIce!

A question...
How do you get contrails in space?
EDIT: Also, I just watched that movie yesterday!

Hmm. Ask the Hiigarans; their old ships used to do it.
At least, those were the plucky empire-forging, galaxy-traversing, devour-all-inorganic-matter-in-their-path-and-forge-it-into-a-massive-armada-limited-only-by-arbitrary-game-limits Hiigarans
I remember.

I like how the dour Cloud Nine muses on the thing, and concludes that it's 'creepy as fuck'.

Shroom, your wackiness is exceeded only by the Core's creepy-as-fuckness.

It is indeed appropriately creepy, although I don't think the Sovereignty's CIs will have much good to say about the Core's personality integration...
