Looks like I've got to start driving the boy to places now. I'll just have to figure out where I can take a teetotaler to hang out in state that revolves entirely around cheap rum... :P

Thank you for your apology, Spanky.

And thus my job is done.
He's got some really good advice there and that should be taken by every guy in the AYVB. It's much more fun once you get used to communicating with real women... wait, I'm real... well you know what I mean.

Well, when ESB first formed the group I joined as a kind of self-depreciating joke. Lampooning my own loserdom and social ineptitude, if you will. I didn't realize they had amassed a reputation for actually harassing people.

I'm bitter with my own loneliness and desperation, but I'm not bitter towards those who've found happiness. If it's truly a broad collection of immature stalkers, it's not a group I want to be associated with.

Wow, would I have lost my temper with a lot of people had I been around for this predictable trainwreck.

Obviously, you need to get him a driver's license so that he can always be your designated driver.

I'd somehow feel safer driving nearly drunk than him behind the wheel sober. You'd have to be there to know what I mean.

I'll back up Uts on this.

SDN has become less interesting in a debate fashion (as the big debates wind down and we're left with current events and Axi) and more interesting as a kind of bizarre soap opera. I know this has happened before, but it's just ... wierd. This was not the plan of the Creator! :)

Maybe there needs to be a wider discussion of board format?

Mrs. Kendall--

The Aphrodite Contest was awhile back. I don't remember the exact details, but the thread's somewhere in AMP. The idea, basically, was to get a whole bunch of SDN females to post their 'nice clothes' pics or something like that (or maybe just 'regular' or whatever, I don't remember), and then we'd decide who was best-looking somehow or other. This was based on the 'Adonis' contest, which was a bunch of us SDN guys posting shirtless pics and the SoS and GALE (I think) declaring which one ended up 'Adonis' of SDN.

You can guess what happened...

And it's called the AYVB.

Hey, I entered that Adonis contest now that I recall. What happened to the PM saying I'd won? I never did get that.

I think I owe an apology at least as much as Spanky, if not more.
-To everyone, for derailing this thread the way I did
-To the lovely ladies in the Cleavage thread, for being at leat partially responsible for getting it locked
-To all the ladies I have offended with my behaviour in the past, without even realising it
-and, as usual, to Zaia for once more messing up her forum.
For what it's worth, I'm terribly sorry. I realize it's a pretty hollow phrase but I didn't mean to.

I normally avoid these kinds of threads, and I loathe to post in one but...

If I've learned anything from this ,it's that this board is really a microcosm of society. We have our thinkers, workers, students and entertainers. Unfortunately we also have those folks that hang around the women's dressing room wearing nothing but a trenchcoat. Is it a concious decision they make... that to be sexually depraived? Maybe not. They could just be products of their environment. But they inevitably act out, so action must be taken. I just hope no bystanders are lost in the coming purge.

Just some helpful advice for AYVB'ers who want to improve their on-line behavior in the future:

Treat the females of the board like they're your best friend's younger sister. Everyone will be happier.

I just though I'd throw my two cents into the ring here, though it's kind of late. I went to bed early last night and didn't see this until today.

Spanky has apologised to both Mrs. Kendall and myself for his actions and though I know his behaviour is a bannable offence I would rather see him be given a enforced break of a few weeks for his mistake. Maybe then he can get out and met real woman. But I don't believe he should be permenatly banned. His actions didn't really cross the line into harrassment but rather were just mildly annoying and uncomforatable. There's a reason why we just posted her breasts and not shots with her head in them, anynimity!.

Anyways try and take it easy on Spanky. Consider it a plea from me, hopefully it carries a little weight.

Spanky The Dolphin,

You have been found guilty of violating the board rule AR5, which states...
If you are found to be harassing another member (particularly a female member, and especially one who is less than 18 years old) via PM or some other means, particularly in a manner that makes the other member feel threatened in some way (such as "stalking", etc), you will be banned. Do not pester female members for personal info, and do not ignore requests to stop bothering them. Do not add lines to your sig to proclaim your love for some female member or declare some membership in a "cult" of worship for her. We are aware that some of you are young and prone to this sort of behaviour, but we do not tolerate it.
This is normally an instant-ban violation. However, in light of your apologies to all parties concerned, and on the request of both Cpl and Mrs. Kendall, the administration has decided to be lenient on your sentence.

AS SUCH, for your crime, it has been decided that your punishment will be:

1. The loss of your modship in Mecha Maniacs. I am sorry, but moderators should set a good example for the others.

2. A resynchronization of your postcount to zero posts.

3. The loss of your avatar and signature priviledges for six months, to be restored on December 14, 2005.

4. A temporary ban of one month, until July 14, 2005.

I will remind you that this is normally an instant-permban rule, but again we have decided to be lenient on you.

Thus it is done on this day June 14, 2005 at 13:20 EDT.

Let this be a lesson to everyone. Spanky is a longtime member who has contributed in the past. He was a private forum moderator. And it took a full, sincere, contrite apology and the intercession of the two members who had the most right to be angry at him just to work him down to this punishment, which is the severest one we've ever handed out that didn't include a ban.

AR5 is the most serious rule we have. Always keep it in mind, and if you're not sure if an action violates it, don't do it. It's time some people around here grow up--and if they don't, they will no longer be welcome at Stardestroyer.net.

AR5, Red. ~D

Just seeing if you were paying attention. ~RI
