We won't be able to use them, unless were using non-ladder characters. The ladder system is going to be completely clean with the patch.

Checked my account...still good. Haven't logged on since January too..and I used to use Map Hack

Man if they are going to clean it then I'll be glad and not solely because of the duped and bugged shit.
Stupid hacker took my best acc.
Anyway we'll start giving the acc. names when the patch comes....hopefully SOON!

Jason

				Ah shucks...ah well.
I'll just start again...made a listing of how where to put points...unless they completely FUBAR the Lightning/Cold line-ups.

They completely changed almost all of the sskill trees.
So any point distributions of now will be pretty much useless.

				Actually yeah.
Because I have no sweat in rebuilding a character...unless they've decided to completely change some skills to which it'll change the outlook of a character for the next sixty levels.

Skills are being altered, but the tree's are remaining the same.....mostly they'll be adding synergies to most skills so you'll get extra bonuses from spreading about skills...
Also if anyone's on right now I'm Caoim_Feraghul on UsEast....

Couple of notes, in July I will be flying up to pennslyvania and staying there for two weeks, I'll be leaving the 9th or the 20th. I'll have limited access to the boards and no access to Battle.net.
I've been thinking, with synergies and since this char I'm making will be group only, I think I'm going to go straight fire with this one, with just 2 points in static field(as a prereq) and teleport. Seeing how synergies seem to be bound to the tree they are in, and the good attack spells in fire I think that I could make an extremely powerful mage maxing mastery, fire wall, and another spell depending on synergies(hopefully Hydra, or Meteor/Fireball), and if we ran across one of those immune bastards, I have 7 other people that can handle him while burning those around them to a fucking crisp.

Depending upon how the synergies work...then I'll decide which is better to throw into
Ice vs Lit.
Currently Lit is a better bang for the buck with only couple cold spells.
And the requsite Warmth.

I actually go for a combo of the two- I get Frozen Orb on one finger, and Chian Lightening on the other.
butt Kicking! It's best to have two element attacks.

Yeah all depends on how the new system works.
If it's more expedient to just dump a huge amount into lighting I dunno about the cold aspect...or vice-versa.
My only problem with cold is that while freezing is nice...it's damage level even fully out there never gets to be that much...aside from FO.
Frozen Orb really is their best cold spell(course they added a delay on it.....bastards)

I'm betting their mostly bots.
Anyone here play D2:Classic on USWest?
I'm planning on borrowing a copy of D2:Lod from my friend who doesnt use his anymore, but it could take some time due to exams.

Well, the past couple of days I got a Paladin a higher level than ever before(past lvl 10). Got it to 36 and I was thinking, Barb wielding two war hammers w/double swing + Paladin with Fanaticism = lots of death. I'm not quite sure how well Frenzy works, but combined with Fanatiscism it could create one powerful barb.

Paladins with the Patriarch, vengence, Fanaticism and Salvation kick alot of ass....and help others kick so much ass, it's not funny...A druid with paladin support is a tin of death just waiting to be opened up on someone

Hmmm...perhaps when we get to it you guys can tell me what you need to suit the party. I already have my own selection of skills for the necro but Lifetap wasn't one of them. ~Jason

Frenzy is a pretty good skill; it can definately get you through nightmare, and the faster run/walk is
hilarious. Really, you go at lag-warp speed as a matter of course. (/me has level 63 Frenzy barb)

So any suggestions into what I summon instead?
Cyaround,
Jason
P.S.- Yes I was one of those guys that was rushed by a friend up the wazoo to hell.

Skeletons & Skeletons mages are useless in the harder difficulties(and later acts for that matter).
The only bonus is all minions get extra Hitpoints as the number of players increases.
8 Player game with descent golem = golem shitloads of free hitpoints. Sure the monsters are harder, but you have proportional greater firepower to the hitpoint improvements.
Fire golem is currently broken (does physical damage, not fire damage), and I've seen no indication that its going to be fixed (but then again, I might have missed it)

Skeleton Mages are a little more useful than skeletons, but they are useless on any level in closed areas. For Golems, I prefer Iron Golems - I like to make them out of ethereal stuff.

I kinda like Iron Maiden/Blood Golem but I've found it sucks partway through hell.
