POLITICAL CARTOON DISCUSSION THREAD 2018

Because the last one has aged off the page, and I can't find it. Here, Brand New for 2018.

Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

Oh, it's been around two whole days and nobody commented yet?

#first!

Ok, as you can see from my admissions to the political cartoon thread, I'm really not a "yuge" fan of Dumpin' Donald, and if I could have a wish for him, it would be that "liar, liar, pants on fire" would apply to him and his inner crowd of circle jerkers.

We have some political cartoons in Norway as well, but I doubt most of you guys knows about the controversy around Sylvi Listhaug, or are even aware she exists, so I haven't bothered to post cartoons from local politics.

I think most of the EU countries have got it kinda right. You can have private capitalism, but keep it in check by regulations, so that it doesn't go wild. Government should be a kind of socialist democracy that takes the worst of inequalities and kinda spread it around the population, allowing for single payer health care, social security and other common goods.

Pure capitalism, aka GOP greed, is not good. Pure socialism doesn't work quite well either. Take the best of both worlds.

Democratic socialism, and the national capitalism as advocated by Edward Bellamy.

Wow, Shadow, that reminded me of the final scenes in the movie Network.

Pretty sure nothing excuses posting a cartoon from a Fucker like Garrison.
especially a hackney cliche like the chess board metaphor.

I am not a big fan of Political Cartoons; they are the elite version of Memes, yet still one dimensional regarding issues.

When I see both posted to Facebook, it is always in the context of "look at this TRUTH" to "win" an argument.

FBI scare Trump? After Kavanaugh, I'm not so sure.

Heh, I loved that one, since my own Halloween costume was very similar. And sure, Kavanaugh may give him some protection, but a coward like Trump is always afraid of being challenged.

True, Rom, but that wasn't exactly what I meant. I meant the FBI had been eager to help him "vindicate" Kavity Kreep, same as it eagerly pulled the October surprise which helped him into the White House in the first place.

Ahh, FaxModem, nothing like fear of poorly-paid illegals on the one hand, the fear of being replaced with automation on the other, and the fear of being replaced by a dozen disposable, poorly-trained temps on a third to keep the American worker broken, submissive, and more than willing to give up what few rights he has.

Including the right to come to work and leave it with the same number of fingers and toes.

TRR: Do people actually say that democrats ruined the two first years of Trumps presidency without remembering that the repubs had both houses that time? How ... interesting...

Trump and Co have been screaming about how the Russia/etc Investigation stole two years of his presidency. Trying to play as a cover for the reality of the first two years being a comedy show on how the GOP can't accomplish anything when they are the the driver's seat since they are purely an obstructionist party.

They are still mad at McCain for sand-bagging the shit out of them too, costing them their one "in the bag" victory.

Wait, Trump & co said this? The same guys who obstructed Obama at every turn? The same party that let an adulterer with a bastard child investigate a BJ to that extent that Iran defended Clinton in the UN? (I remember seing it on TV, but can't find the clip now.)
