The Emperor & The Apocalypse-class Star Dreadnought

Post by Dark Emperor »

An alternate ending of the Dark Empire Trilogy Followed by the Emperor's further and ultimate growth in the dark side and the creation of the Abyss Apocolypse-class planetoid Star Dreadnought. The story does not end there, however.

I will continue the narrator story on the challenges the Dark Emperor and his God-like superweapon face in his attempt to master the universe. As there are technologies and beings out there with equally omnipotent powers.

----------------------
Having returned in yet another clone, Palpatine continued his scourge against the New Republic. Armed with the deadly superweapons, the Galaxy Gun, and his second Eclipse-class Star Dreadnought, Eclipse II, Palpatine forced many New Republic worlds to submit to Imperial rule. But, despite his growing Empire, Palpatine was again deteriorating and becoming frail and weak.

Even worse, the Emperor began to succumb to genetic tampering done to his clones by the treacherous Imperial Sovereign Protector Carnor Jax. He tried to clone other bodies so that he could resurrect himself, but Jax had succeeded in tainting even the genetic source material. With his body wasting away rapidly, he went to the Sith world Korriban to consult the ancient spirits of his forebears in the Great Temple. The spirits initially wondered whether Palpatine was going to take Vader's place on his tomb, as he wasn't placed there, but Palpatine declined and instead demanded to be healed. They advised that he use Leia's newborn son, Anakin Solo to house his spirit. The Dark Side Adepts escorting him vowed to be his watchmen until his new body would grow up. Sidious, though he deeply distrusted his tools, especially after Nefta and Sa-Di's betrayal, had no other choice; he ordered Eclipse II to make course for the Onderon system, where the Solos had relocated their children.
While the New Republic engaged the Imperials, a team of Jedi, led by Luke, sought out the Emperor. They did not find him aboard his ship since he had slipped down to Onderon to find Leia. During the battle, Lando Calrissian and R2-D2 had infiltrated the flagship. R2-D2 then sabotaged the vehicle's automated hyperdrive engines and set the coordinates to match the location of the Galaxy Gun, which was over Byss. R2-D2 was then intercepted and destroyed by several Imperial Sentry Droids, who then fixed the hyperdrives. Despite R2-D2's efforts, the Imperials were able to take control of the Ecplise II's hyperdrive systems; and with the Shadow Droids the Eclipse II was able to swiftly defeat the Rebel Fleet.

Meanwhile, the Emperor faced Leia and demanded that her newest child be his to possess. She fought back, but was no match for the Emperor. Before he could complete his plot, Luke Skywalker and two other Jedi, Rayf Ysanna and Empatojayos Brand, arrived. Palpatine killed Ysanna instantly and fatally wounded Brand before being shot by an enraged Han Solo. Palpatine tapped into his pain, rage and hatred to rise again, and with a barrage of Force energy he incenerated Han Solo. Luke Skywalker quickly attacked the Emperor who was defenseless in his frail state. Luke cut down the Emperor and his Dark Side Adepts. Despite being felled twice, Palpatine managed to use his hatred to rise once more and defeat Luke Skywalker before destroying the wounded Brand as well as C-3PO, Leia, and her other two children-Jacen and Jaina Solo. With all obstacles eliminated, Palpatine ripped his spirit from his undead body and inhabited Anakin Solo's.

Palpatine's Dark Empire would spread across the galaxy with the success of Operation Shadow Hand. One by one, the endless worlds and independant star systems fell to this new Dark Empire's might, and Byss would soon become the Dark Center of the galaxy. For a time, Cronal was in control of the galaxy until the maturity of his Master's new infant body was complete by 25 ABY. The Emperor's actions would eventually lead him to battle Abeloth.
The woman who would become Abeloth was first known as the Servant, a mortal who appeared through unknown means on the unknown jungle planet where Ones lived around 100,000 BBY. She served the Father and his Son and Daughter, catering to their every need. But it was not long before the Servant became part of the Ones' family, filling the role of the Mother. The Mother kept the peace between the warring siblings and doted on the Father, ensuring the family's happiness for many years. Under her guidance, the Son began to use his destructive powers for something useful—he carved out caves and passages in the walls of the valley where they lived—and the siblings restored their home to its former glory, repairing the damage and neglect caused by the conflict of their rivalry.
But as the years went by, the Mother began to age while her family remained ageless. In her old age, she could no longer control the Son and Daughter's rivalry, and she began to fear that her family would abandon her. So in order to hold onto the life she had, the Mother decided to commit the Forbidden. While the Father was distracted by his warring children, she snuck a drink from the Font of Power just as the Son had done long ago. She then completed her transgression by bathing in the Pool of Knowledge like the Daughter, but the Father discovered her. But unlike the Ones, she was mortal, and so the Font and the Pool corrupted and twisted her. They granted her power, but twisted her mind and her body, creating the dark side entity known as Abeloth.

Abeloth used her new powers to dominate her adopted children, subduing them and forcing them to bow to her before the Font of Power. But at this point the Father, horrified and disappointed in Abeloth, stepped in. He departed the planet with his children, leaving Abeloth stranded alone and fulfilling her deepest fear—her family had abandoned her. This drove her to madness, fueling her desire to be loved and adored. Knowing that Abeloth would be a danger to others, the Son and the Daughter took control of the Killik hives from Alderaan and used them as workers. By joining the hivemind, the Ones shared their immense power in the Force with the Killiks. Under the direction of the siblings, the Killiks built many technological wonders, such as Centerpoint Station, Sinkhole Station, and many others. Using Centerpoint, the Ones crafted the spherical shell of black holes around their homeworld that would later become known as the Maw, and placed the smaller Sinkhole Station within to maintain the prison. After their creations were completed, the Son and the Daughter removed their power from the hives, and retreated with the Father to Mortis. Abeloth's former family would remain there until their deaths, only emerging to defeat Abeloth whenever she escaped from her prison.

he Killik Thuruht hive referred to Abeloth as the Bringer of Chaos, whose escapes and reimprisonments formed a cycle of chaos and destruction that occurred whenever the Current of the Force—the flow of time— was altered. Abeloth thrived on fear and destruction, fanning the flames of conflict every time she escaped and sending the galaxy into chaos and turmoil. Each time she escaped, the Son and the Daughter would return to the Killiks and defeat Abeloth, locking her back in her prison. This cycle would repeat itself for hundreds of thousands of years, until the death of the Ones in 21 BBY. According to the Thuruht Histories, the Gree species came to her planet during one of her escapes to sacrifice an unknown saurian species to Abeloth.

Abeloth also existed beyond shadows, a realm that seemed to be a copy of Abeloth and the Ones' homeworld and which Force-sensitives could access by separating their minds from their bodies. Sinkhole Station would come to be inhabited by Mind Walkers, Force-sensitive beings whom she influenced with her powers. Desperate for contact with anyone, Abeloth would reach out to any Force-sensitives who entered the Maw (as the prison seemed to trap her powers within) and instil in them her overwhelming desire for companionship. These individuals would be inexplicably drawn to the Maw, where they would find Sinkhole Station and ascend to beyond shadows. Abeloth fed off of the Mind Walkers' life essences, absorbing their strength.
While she was not immediately released from her prison, the Emperor's altering of the future set in motion a chain of events that culminated in the the destruction of Centerpoint Station in 40 ABY. This caused damage to Sinkhole Station's systems, opening a gap in her prison from which Abeloth was able to use her powers to call out to more Force-sensitives in the Maw than before, instilling in them a psychosis that caused violent paranoia and called them to her. The Force-sensitives at Sinkhole Station, known as Mind Walkers, traveled in a realm of the Force called beyond shadows while Abeloth fed off of their life energies. At some point, Abeloth encountered and consumed the life energy of Darth Krayt.

In 43 ABY, Abeloth exerted control over the Sith Meditation Sphere Ship, which was pursued by a Jedi strike team. The team tracked Ship to Abeloth's planet, where Abeloth pretended to help them; but she actually forced the vessel to remain hidden and used her control over the world's plants to kill many of the Jedi. Meanwhile, the Emperor and his apprentice, Cronal, found the Mind Walkers and learned how to travel beyond shadows. Abeloth let Ship return to the surviving Jedi so that the strike team could continue on to their second objective-Destroying the Empire. Their attack failed, however, as the Emperor and his Sovereign Protectors, who were endowed with a tiny fraction of a percent of his power, easily overcame and destroyed their Jedi attackers as well as some of Abeloth's avatar bodies. Soon afterward, Abeloth managed to destroy Sinkhole Station, killing the Mind Walkers and freeing herself from confinement. However, after the Emperor's Reach locate and retrieved for him the Dagger of Mortis. Using the Dagger, the Emperor and his Dark Side adepts launched an assault against Ship and Abeloth. Due to the might of the Emperor, Abeloth's remaining avatar bodies were killed and she was then destroyed by the Emperor with the Dagger of Mortis in the realm of Beyond shadows.

Sensing the resonating dark side presence that called to him, the Emperor continued to drink from the Font of Power and bathe in the Pool of Knowledge as Abeloth once had, transforming him into a monster far more terrible and grotesque than the Abeloth creature had ever been. At first, returning to corporeal form within Anakin Solo's youthful, midi-chlorian dense body, the Emperor's host body showed no signs of the immense convergence with the dark side in the Beyond Shadows. But in time, however, the energies of the eternal cosmic furnace of the dark side began to corrode even Skywalker's body. To magnify and consolidate his God-like power of his possessed Skywalker body to ensure that it would not corrode from the nexus of dark energies, the Emperor considered imploring the great Sith ritual that Emperor Vitiate of the True Sith had never been able to carry out a millennium ago. The ritual required killing billions upon billions of life forms to begin, and would ultimately result in the Emperor consuming all life in the galaxy with Force drain. This ritual of Sith mysticism could amplify is already boundless power and immortality a million-fold. The Emperor summoned his Dark Side Adepts as well as his most powerful and loyal dark magi subjects on Byss, and began the ritual by ripping apart space and time to create his largest dark side wormhole yet. The rip in space time consumed and destroyed the city-planet and former Galactic Center of Commerce, Coruscant, killing trillions of life-forms instantly. The disturbance in the Force that this created allowed him to Force drain all life in the galaxy except for the enslaved branches of government and loyal magi subjects who consisted and maintained the basis of his Dark Empire on Byss.

Palpatine wished to conquer not just the galaxy, but the entire universe. This was impossible, because his fleets could not make the jump to hyperspace outside the edge of the galaxy. It was originally thought that hyperspace travel outside the galaxy was impossible because of a hyperspace disturbance at the edge of the galaxy. The goal of the Outbound Flight Project was to use the Jedi's abilities to penetrate the disturbance using the Force. The Yuuzhan Vong found that they were able to bypass it at an area they called Vector Prime. The Yuuzhan Vong also possibly entered the Crispin system, which was at the very edge of the galaxy at the outer border of Wild Space. The midline of this field that surrounded the galaxy almost exactly corresponded to the portion of the Unknown Regions that bordered the "western" quarter of the galactic disc. This segment of the Unknown Regions was historically impenetrable to conventional hyperspace mapping attempts by the Old Republic. With the Yuuzhan Vong and the rest of the Galaxy's inhabitants consumed by his ritual , the Emperor located Vector Prime using by finding the Shatterpoint of the hyperspace disturbance field. The Emperor had to reach out to the Celestials before he could begin his Military campaign, for most of his military had been whiped out during his ritual.
By the modern age, little was known about the Celestials. Only vague references to the ancient race remained, their appearance unknown, yet it was stated that they had possessed incredible knowledge. These were beings of astonishingly powerful and held a malleable form. One theory held that they were a group of discorporate entities who had perhaps merged themselves with the Force thousands of generations earlier and continued to guide the fate of the galaxy ever since. Those that believed in this view held that the Celestials were a higher order of intermediaries whose powers were beyond the understanding of mortal beings. The Killiks claimed that the Celestials were in the Force and that the Force users known as the Ones were what Celestials became in time. The Thuruht hive were unsure on whether the Celestials were the kind of beings to hold a plan. Ultimately, they believed that the Force was the dominion of the Celestials and when their power was usurped then the Bringer of Chaos emerged It was claimed that no objects were more spectacular than those created by the Celestials. They were known for their demonstrable and nearly immeasurable level of power.

Their technology was said to had been able to move entire star systems with the Rakata's being almost on par with it. Leftover machinery of the Celestials, such as Centerpoint Station and the Cosmic Turbine, had the ability to manipulate gravity on a interplanetary scale. This was done through the use of tractor beams, repulsor pulses and hyperspace wormholes. The gravitic tractor seen on Centerpoint was, in theory, able to move planets or suns and capable of either collapsing or destroying entire solar systems. The hyperspatial anomaly that bisected the galaxy was considered easily within the capabilities of the Celestials. The destructive energy of an Infinity wave was based on Celestial principles. The suspected Celestial machines on Kessel included an antenna-like super electromagnet that, when activated, spun with such a force that it ripped off the other devices in the caverns from kilometers away and dragged them towards itself as part of a self-destruct process.

Joiner Raynar Thul claimed that when the Killiks created the Maw, they used the Force to change the state of matter. Leia Organa Solo was skeptical of this claim, accounting for the Killik's muddled sense of history and wondering whether this was more likely a trait of their Celestial masters. In actuality, the Killiks had created the Maw under the instruction of the Son and the Daughter, members of The Ones who joined the hive mind and lent the hives their knowledge and their enormous power in the Force. It is believed that after they completed their labors, the siblings left the hive mind and somehow removed the Force powers that they had shared with the hive.
Alone but needing a military powerful enough to conquer the Universe, the Emperor reached out with his immense power to contact the Celestials. In turn for sharing with the Celestials his power as the Ones had shared theirs with the Killiks theirs, the Celestials helped him to construct his Apocolypse-class planetoid Star Dreadnought, the Abyss, a fully automated Star Destroyer controlled by a massive web of large Celestials minds whose computative abilities and presceince were greatly augmented by the dark side of the Force. The Celestial minds that automated the Abyss were but slaves to the Emperor's Sith mind control as he guided the extra-galactic trek of the Abyss nestled on his throne world of Byss. The Emperor influenced the Abyss to seek out other powerful civilizations and trade grant survival in turn for complete obedience and submission to the Dark Empire's magocracy-with refusal resulting in the utter destruction and genocide of that civilization by the Abyss.

The Abyss stretched millions of kilometers in length. Despite being protected by a powerful planetary-scale deflector shield; it's entire hull was constructed of Quantum-crystalline armor and was able to survive the force of a supernova, even without it's planetary shielding. With it's indestructibiity, it would ram into stars while in hyperspace and create supernovae-giving it the ability to destroy entire star systems.

On top of a massive Class 0.3 hyperdrive by combining high class hyperdives with organic technology, as well as with a fusion of Verpine and Mandalorian technology that allowed it to travel across the space between galaxies in a relatively short time-frame. The Abyss had several sublight thrusters that allowed it to achieve a respectable fraction of lightspeed itself, even during combat. With it's Planetary Shield and Quantum-crystalline armor it mainly just rips through enemy fleets with it's sublight thrusters until they are all destroyed.

The nose of the Abyss was armed with a 7,000 meter-long, tube-shaped cannon capable of firing large, destructive projectiles equipped with particle disintegrator warheads capable of destroying an entire planet. Each of these projectiles were capable of traveling through hyperspace with a speed equivalent to at least a Class .75 hyperdrive, allowing for quick traversal of interstellar distances and difficulty in detecting them until they struck. Upon exiting hyperspace and homing in on its target, the projectile's automated defenses would activate to deter enemy forces. Automated laser cannon turrets exchanged laser fire with warships while thick armor plating and powerful energy shields deflected even the most advanced ion cannons and turbolasers.

Having reached its target, powered by the missile's power core, the particle disintegrator warhead exploded, triggering immense nuclear cloud reactions that encircled the targeted world's surface within minutes. At the projectile's full power setting, the nuclear reactions were sustained until all matter had been converted into energy, effectively wiping the planet and its inhabitants off the face of the galaxy. However, there were low power settings allowing them to destroy selected cities and military bases while leaving the rest of the planet untouched. Since the Abyss itself was powerful enough to destroy stars, the galaxy cannon at its nose wasn't necessary outside of destroying smaller areas than that of an entire solar system, such as a powerful enemy space station, base, or a planet or its capital city.

The Abyss was also 100% self-sustaining, as it used it's massive gravitic tractor beam projector, able to move entire planets and stars into the hull of the Abyss to harvest stellar amounts of materials and resources. The deconstruction of the star system and its resources would then be used for both fuel for the Abyss and for its massive foundries which churned out endless hordes of Shadow Droids, devestating War Machines and new fleet-killing superweapons which would be sent into battle straight from the assembly line. The internal factories could create anything from a formidable Navy, to a duplicate of the entire Abyss planetoid Star Dreadnought itself, given enough resources.

I like that guy.

This mentality comes from Knights of the Old Republic II, The Sith Lords.

For an Austic, merely beating the game with full dark side ending at level 50 using isn't enough. And then you have to download every mod there is, and the God of KoToR II Mods, restored content and the ability to create my own continuity in the story was my next goal. But I couldn't, as I don't have the money or capability to expand the game using graphic design.

Lol, then there was the Old Republic, I work a 60 hour per week full time job as a mover, so I can only read about the Sith Emperor in the Revan Novel or on good ole wookieepedia.

Even that isn't enough, so I come on here and write this. That was the point.

On Spacebattles I had some positive input on my Dark Side Omnipotus Extremis, which was manifested from Drew Karpyshyn's imagination in Kotor II.

But on that site there are space capability fanatics who know what I am talking about as well, as is on this site.

People like that help me keep my sanity.

The internet is serious beeznuz.

You sound like my would-be rich editor would sound like if I fucked up the final book in a prominent Star Wars series like The Old Republic.

I'm back to spacebattles. Goddamn.

It's not awful as background fluff, it just doesn't go anywhere. This is the same reason I loathed Mission to Mars.

Write a fanfic about some race encountering Palpatine, or some struggling survivors of the rebellion trying to get by, use this to a purpose

That was a pretty tame response for Mr. Coffee, actually.

I'm replying more substantively because we can shit on DE ad nauseum but I don't want to discourage someone who might bust out a more interesting fanfic some day than the usual "Day in the life of Kit Fisto" "Chance encounter between Luke Skywalker and average Joe" "Slashfic starring Boba Fett and Admiral Daala, to be later reimagined into an original work"

He's got a decent idea for an AU, it's just massively unrefined, so DE, if you're still logging on...

No one hated him just what he wrote, and that's not what people have said here either by the way, Coffee didn't say "What an utter load!" he said "Could you do more please?" because this isn't actually a fanfic, it's a rough narrative. The criticism is towards your work. Artists have other artists crit their work, point out what's awful, it's not towards you as a person.
This mentality comes from Knights of the Old Republic II, The Sith Lords.
It reads like a codex, however a codex is just fluff to provide context for a story, it is not, by itself a finished work.
For an Austic, merely beating the game with full dark side ending at level 50 using isn't enough. And then you have to download every mod there is, and the God of KoToR II Mods, restored content and the ability to create my own continuity in the story was my next goal. You're a gamer, got it, you enjoyed the game and felt inspired to express that enjoyment, there's nothing wrong with that.
Lol, then there was the Old Republic, I work a 60 hour per week full time job as a mover, so I can only read about the Sith Emperor in the Revan Novel or on good ole wookieepedia.
So you put fantasy down on paper for self amusement, there's nothing wrong with that either.
Even that isn't enough, so I come on here and write this. That was the point.
When you posted it, you took another step, you opened it up for review and comment, but it wasn't a finished work. Keep going, and make something out of it, or refine the style into a more polished narrative. The context in which you posted it, is only relevant to you, and now you have an audience. Take the work more seriously, and put some time into presenting it more effectively. There's a difference between singing in the shower, and karaoke. You have to put your pants on.
On Spacebattles I had some positive input on my Dark Side Omnipotus Extremis, which was manifested from Drew Karpyshyn's imagination in Kotor II.
