Manning will sign with Broncos, Teebus Christus will be traded.

I heard from a coworker that one of the Florida teams Tebow's most likely destination. Just hope it ain't the Bucs.

If it's the Bucs I'm going to burn all of my memorabilia and become a Broncos fan.

The Florida teams? Not likely. Jacksonville has Blaine Gabbert who might turn out to be a decent QB (don't think he will), Miami does not want an Option QB nor are they built to do so and Tampa sticks with Freeman (hahahahahhahha).

Indeed. And Freeman is better than Tebow anyway.

There's a little voice in the back of my head trying to scare me that he'll come here.

But the rational side of my mind tells me they likely won't do that and for much the same reason they didn't go after Manning: Kubiak would have to change his system. I also think that TJ Yates might be considered the future of the franchise after the way he played last year.

As a Giants fan, I'm so glad Manning didn't go to the 49ers. That team was scary enough with Smith; insert a HOF QB and maybe some receivers that wear non-Parkay gloves... *shudder*

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!

If someone could convince Teebus Christ to give up on this QB thing and become a running FB like Larry Czonka or Mike Alstott he'd be a great addition to almost any team. Let him throw option passes every so often and you could bring back the power sweep with this guy.

Funny, that was my thought, too. Thinking, "Maybe they oughtn't trade Tebow. He'd make a great FB, and make anybody honor the run on every play, giving Manning more time." as soon as the news broke

Cheatachick has publicly stated he would run Tebow as an H-back to do precisely that.

But he is overpaid for a Fullback. Heck, the best Fullback in the NFL (Vontae Leach) barely gets 2mil a year.

If you are judging payment simply on ability, but the additional tickets/merch/national exposure would be. Jacksonville needs him to stay viable in Jacksonville.

The New York papers are aflutter with Tebow rumors. If he comes to the Jets, my wife has declared we will officially jump ship and be Ravens fans. Of course, since Ray Rice is the pride of our alma mater, we have sort of followed the Ravens for the last 4 years, but now it will be official.

Oh, and typical jets. 4th rounder when the broncos would take even later ones? And he is not worth more than a late 6th rounder IMO anyway....

Well, the saints are screwed.
The Saints are fined $500,000. In addition, because the violation involves a competitive rule, the Saints will forfeit their selections in the second round of the 2012 and 2013 NFL drafts.

Saints coach Sean Payton is suspended without pay for the 2012 NFL season, effective April 1.

Saints general manager Mickey Loomis is suspended without pay for the first eight regular-season games of the 2012 season.

Former Saints (and current St. Louis Rams) defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is suspended indefinitely from the NFL, effective immediately. Commissioner Goodell will review Williams’ status at the conclusion of the 2012 season and consider whether to reinstate him, and, if so, on what terms. Commissioner Goodell said he will give close attention to the extent to which Williams cooperates with the NFL in any further proceedings.

Saints assistant coach Joe Vitt is suspended without pay for the first six regular-season games of the 2012 season.

The league also said the involvement of players in the bounty program remain under investigation and Goodell will address possible discipline at a later date.[/list]
I think they should have lost their first-rounder for 2013 but that is okay.

Stay classy, drew.
@drewbrees on twitter wrote:I am speechless. Sean Payton is a great man, coach, and mentor. The best there is. I need to hear an explanation for this punishment
You want your explanation? How about this:
The violations were compounded by the failure of Coach Payton to supervise the players and coaches and his affirmative decision starting in 2010 (a) not to inquire into the facts concerning the pay-for-performance/bounty program even though he was aware of the league's inquiries both in 2010 and 2012; (b) to falsely deny that the program existed; (c) to encourage the false denials by instructing assistants to "make sure our ducks are in a row;" and (d) to ignore instructions from the league office and club ownership to ensure that no such program existed.[...]

Payments also were made for plays on which opposing players were injured. In addition, specific players were sometimes targeted. The investigation showed bounties being placed on four quarterbacks of opposing teams - Brett Favre, Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers, and Kurt Warner. Multiple sources have confirmed that several players pledged funds toward bounties on specific opposing players, with defensive captain Jonathan Vilma offering $10,000 to any player who knocked Brett Favre out of the NFC Championship Game in 2010.
[...]
10. When interviewed in 2012, Sean Payton claimed to be entirely unaware of the program, a claim contradicted by others. Further, prior to the Saints' opening game in 2011, Coach Payton received an email from a close associate that stated in part, "PS Greg Williams put me down for $5000 on Rogers (sic)." When shown the email during the course of the investigation, Coach Payton stated that it referred to a "bounty" on Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

11. In early 2010, Mr. Loomis advised Coach Payton that the league office was investigating allegations concerning a bounty program. Coach Payton said that he met with his top two defensive assistants, Coach Williams and Coach Vitt, in advance of the interview with league investigators and told them, "Let's make sure our ducks are in a row." Remarkably, Coach Payton claimed that he never inquired of Coach Williams and Coach Vitt as to what happened in the interviews, never asked them if a "pay-for-performance" or bounty program was in fact in place, and never gave any instructions to discontinue such a program.

12. In January 2012, prior to the Saints' first playoff game of the 2011 season, Coach Payton was advised by Mr. Loomis that the league office had reopened the investigation. Coach Payton made a cursory inquiry but took no action to ensure that any bounty program was discontinued.
Maybe drew should read the statement of findings?

scumbags, especially you, Vilma.

Never thought I'd see the day when Mario Williams chooses the Bills, while Miami has to send Dan Marino to go cap-in-hand for the courtesy of a pro forma visit from Peyton Manning. Where Tesus Christ and Mark Sanchize were Jets AT THE SAME TIME?!?!?

Heady stuff. I guess this is what it must feel like to be a Pats fan.

Just released the details of Mark Anderson's contract. His largest annual cap hit is $7 million, three years from now. Base salary of 3 million this year. Well Played, Mr. Nix. Well Played.
Many thanks! These darned computers always screw me up. I calculated my first death-toll using a hand-cranked adding machine (we actually calculated the average mortality in each city block individually). Ah, those were the days.
