President Obama plans to address the nation Sunday night

President Obama will address the nation on a national security issue at 10:30 p.m. Eastern time Sunday, the White House said.
The announcement was abrupt, coming after the White House had declared a so-called lid, meaning no other news would be coming for the remainder of the day.
A White House official declined to comment further.
EDIT:
The time slipped from 22:30 to 22:45 to 22:50. So far...
I'm guessing this has something to do with bin Laden.

"Can I say something about destiny? Screw destiny! If this evil thing comes we'll fight it, and we'll keep fighting it until we whoop it. 'Cause destiny is just another word for inevitable and nothing's inevitable as long as you stand up, look it in the eye, and say 'You're evitable!'"

A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? A country isn't a rock. It's not an extension of one's self. It's what it stands for. It's what it stands for when standing for something is the most difficult! - Chief Judge Haywood

I'm feeling a little shocked, maybe disbelief? Yet I think it's awesome otherwise. Good job to the guys that got him and everything else that went in to that!
<---wonders if the Air force pilot who dropped the JDAM will get the bounty.
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
I was hoping they'd capture him alive as that would have been the most humiliating result for al-Qaeda, but I'll take him being dead. They have his body apparently, which I believe is true otherwise Obama probably wouldn't be having a sudden press conference since it would take more time to be sure he was really dead. Are we going to see a postmortem mugshot like with Zarqawi?
Rumors so far suggest he was killed by troops on the ground, which would make it way easier to explain how they could ever confirm he was killed. We can officially declare victory in the first campaign of the war on terror now. The glorious murderfest accomplished something.

The news I'm watching is saying it was a bomb that killed him (deployed from a Predator, maybe?), and special forces recovered the body.

Turns out that a five way cross over between It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the Ali G Show, Fargo, Idiocracy and Veep is a lot less funny when you're actually living in it.
