Actually, there'd be 8 Chinese divisions there by the time war broke out, and they were likely the units that enabled the mobile thrust that temporarily cut the extended Soviet salient toward Hailar.

Seriously, that part of the war is done, and while I'm seriously tempted to just say all remained relatively quiet after the heavy fighting in the Southwest front I'm letting you and Beo decide if anything else happened leading up to the time freeze. Which, technically, ended today.

Though, I must ask... if your desire is to get to the mouth of the Amur, any reason you didn't attack over there? :P

Is Shepistan that stupid that they can't differentiate between actual sympathy for Communism and a regional power pursuing its own interests? And if Mexico selectively went after Portugal but not Germany or France that whole argument can't hold water, I imagine your own government would laugh at your leader for such a preposterous belief.

So they're hawkish anti-Communists. So what? Does it really matter to them that Portugal be the one to seize Suriname and not Germany, France, or a nation that has publicly allied with either in terms of removing the Dutch Communists? Are they illiterate? Have they failed to read the reports of Mexico's own hawkish anti-Communism and having to shoot some in the streets of Nicaragua?

A minor issue with the China OOB: The SAU border army is headquartered out of a city within Guangdong Province, which is marked as an actual part of the SAU on the maps on the SDN World Wiki (regular map, countries list map). One of us is wrong, and I don't know which.

Also, if Crossroads is still playing, Borneo needs to be recolored appropriately, now that Thanas and I no longer have any dominion over it.

CR hasn't posted any further data, or Orbat, that I've seen, so I'm not sure his Consortium of Borneo is confirmed yet.

And my bad, Changsha-Fuzhou would probably be the region then.

Given his fleet has the range to intercept shipping coming out of the Gulf of Aden, allowing him to effectively blockade the Suez Canal? Don't underestimate the threat he's posing, Ryan.

Well, I can say that if I don't see a Shepistani Army OrBat - even if a simplified one like the one I drew up for Bluewolf - by the end of the declared freeze tonight, well, I'll just have to declare his forces in a state of organizational disarray and easy picking for Byzantium, the Grand Dominion... even Afghanistan.

Once more I'll have to ask for an extension due to personnal issues, I'm back from a twelve hour coastal express boat journey and I'm utterly knackered, I need to rest before I even think about posting more. Mind you I have posted the OoB for the Navy and Army, just the airforce and fortresses plus current deployments lacking.

A) Steve has already pointed out that this would be a foolish position to hold which is without even getting in to whether or not your political classes would be accepting of waging unprovoked war on the part of the Portugese

B) None of my shipping (maybe <.1%) goes through the Suez. Trade with Asia leaves from Pacific ports and trade with Europe and Africa would be almost exclusively Atlantic/Med/North Sea based. In other words I've got virtually no presence (and no real desire to have it) in the I.O. so your threat isn't much of one.

How about you shut the fuck up, Steve?

I'm having to deal with the fucking holiday mail spam; so my free time is limited this week; and I don't have the inclination to do exquisitely detailed OBATs or stuff like with the last two SDNWorlds -- down that way lies insanity, as Comrade Stas found out.

Shepistani Army OBAT:

Uniforms: German Style WWIish

Infantry Weapons: Pretty much Bolt Action Rifles, with some autoloading rifles entering limited service; and SMG spam is starting to show up. Mortars, Machineguns, Grenades, flamethrowers, etc abound.

Tanks: Mostly Renault FT-17 style spam, with a few Char B1s floating around.

Aeroplanes How the fuck should I know? I'll just steal whatever Lonestar is using and paint Sheppo roundels on them; and call them something else.

Artillery Sheppo Artillery's mainstay piece is primarily 100mm; though there are a few older 70mm pieces lying around from the 1913~ era.

Specialized Artillery Sheppo Superheavy Artillery has the whole range of supporting stuff from corps level guns to superheavy siege howitzers.

Artillery Specialization Sheppo Artilleryists are known for their massive crushing gas attacks which can blanket an entire battlefield in vile chemical agents in such large quantities that personal protective gear can be overwhelmed.

Fortresses Sheppo fortresses are primarily concentrated along the border with the Goddamns and major harbors.

Other border regions, such as that in Afghanistan, have not recieved that level of intense fortification, due to the terrain itself significantly hampering any enemy advance, hence fortifications in those regions tend to be limited to especially crucial key terrain points.

The Straits of Hormuz is a medium-light fortress; installed there to ensure that Sheppo troops can use the straits to resupply their colony with troops and supplies etc unhampered by any external enemies.

Army Organization The Sheppo Army is big, numbering in the millions, with millions more in the ready reserve, inactive reserve, and retired reserve; and their divisions are 15,000 man sized, organized along triangular lines; anything other than that is vague and will be detailed as required.

Then somebody (or somebodies) will just have to put him in his place sooner rather than later. Hell, I'd be a bit more interested in arranging such things, except that I'm half way around the world and rarely, if ever, use the canal anyway.

Also, I don't think anybody explained to me how the Dutch managed to maintain a major naval base within 70 km of my coastline without anybody throwing a fit here and erasing it in a fit of pique... :P

Jesus Christ, did you see the one I made for Blue? It took me maybe 5-10 minutes, and that was because I tried to put proper effort into where he might want his active forces deployed.

Had you come to me and said "I can't make my OrBat for the moment because of time constraints" I would've been understanding, but you fucking well didn't, this is the first I've heard about you having time problems.

And the entire point of asking about the OrBats isn't to know what you use in equipment but where your forces are posted and how many are there, since that became the big hubbub between Stas and Beo.

Huh? Why would the Dutch having a naval station in their Caribbean territories cause any concern from a Colombia that has more important things to worry about?

Shep, you're pretty artillery focused with some mechanized infantry and tanks, yeah? Not too much cavalry?

I could write one up, since I've got a bit of time, see if you like it. Can't handle exact positioning, but I could try and give reasonable force dispositions.

And I absolutely, positively 100% won't leave your Afghani border totally undefended. Nope.

Not one bit.

At all.

Nope.

More important things? Whatever could be more important than an island inside my economic exclusion zone that harbours a large warfleet for an imperialist power?

Furthermore, I didn't realize I had to specify that tiny little islands inside my economic exclusion zone were sovereign Colombian territory, nor that they could be claimed by foreign powers for the purposes of establishing large naval bases on my fucking doorstep. :)

Ok I see everyone and his uncle is throwing Char B1 clones around. IMS Shep is the third or fourth to do so. Arguably the project did start in 1921 and the prototypes ready by spring 1924 but the tank did not enter service before 1931 and the final 28t vehicle wasn't exactly the same to the 1924 18.5 ton prototype.

So... while I suppose putting into series production the 1924 prototypes shouldn't be an issue can we actually use Char B1 itself and by extension tank designs the likes of T-26 and Char D1?
