What I drive: '02 Chevrolet Venture, a hand-me-down from when my dad died two years back: not much else to say really, it's basically a bland box on wheels. It was our only vehicle at the time, and since I was the only other family member who could drive it became mine by default. I wish it sucked less gas, although 24 MPG (imperial) average is still pretty good for a minivan. I'm not going to sell it though: It's completely paid off and has proven to be very reliable, so I'm not taking my chances with whetever used car I'd be able to by with the proceeds (and as a minivan, it has depreciated like a stone). Besides, I do find it's cargo capacity quite useful from time to time.
This is my project car, an '88 Mercedes 190E, 2.3L. It's in surprisingly good shape considering it's age and long dormancy out in the elements (I was able to start the engine with little difficulty after adding gas), though it's still going to take a lot of work to get into good working order. In my opinion it's quite attractive for an '80s car, and though it doesn't have a lot of power, at least it's rear-wheel drive, the way the Good Lord intended all cars to be

Anyway, I don't intend to keep it long after I'm done, but my brother wishes to buy it, so I'll be able to ensure my hard work is well taken care of.
And this, is the car I'm currently drooling over, but alas will never own, the redesigned 2008 Cadillac CTS. The design elements are much more unified than the first model, and it seems GM fixed everything wrong with the first generation (especially the interior) while improving upon what was right. It actually looks expensive without appearing gaudy the way a pimpmobile does. I've seen a few milling around my area (though this was the only one on the dealer lot), and I must say the LED "light pipes" on the headlights, taillights and interior look simply awesome at night. BMW does a similar effect with their taillights, but that pales in comparison to the overall lighting effects on this car. From tech-geek perspective however, what I find most cool is the top engine: while it's hardly the only six-pot of it's displacement to make 300 horsepower, it is the only one that can do so on regular unleaded gas.
