Okay, here it is, I salvaged all the fluff from the old mainframe site. I almost wish I hadn't... some of it's so stupid like "each beast claw has the density of a million black holes" or "every single Ice soldier is selected for leadership intelligence and strength" like wtf is everybody in the Ice army an officer lol. And "freon based weapon system" wow that's like saying a water-cooled machine gun's got a "water based weapon system" lol.
Beast Fluff
===========
This graphical database contains surveillance information on our current target, the Planet Cluster. Our scouting probes have gathered intelligence on the system's planets, inhabitants, and defensive capabilities.
The Beast Planet is currently en route to the target system. Upon arrival, all major planetary bodies shall be consumed, and all life shall be extinguished. Advance forces have been deployed to further survey the system and prepare it for consumption. Resistance is expected, but is of no concern, as no single planetary system can hope to stand against the might of the Beast Planet.
Supplementary reports shall be posted as they are received from our various field agents. For information on how to navigate through this interface, click on the How to Use This Site button. For information on the history of this system, click on the Story button.
Lamprey is the first of the two field commanders for the Beast Planet's advance forces. She has only one purpose, to divide and conquer by any means necessary. Using her wraith-like abilities, she helps serve the Beast Planet's cause by trying to destroy the Alliance from within.
Blokk, the Beast Planet's second field commander, is a relentless force for destruction and devastation. Where Lamprey would prefer to divide and conquer, Blokk wants to go straight for the throat, launching distant and savage attacks against the Planet Cluster with his seemingly endless armies of Beast Drones. It is only the imposing presence of VOYD that prevents him from totally annihilating everything in the Planet Cluster.
Towering and silent, Voyd is the final arbiter of the conflicts between Lamprey and Blokk. Although he never takes part in combat and never speaks, Voyd is the one entity in the universe, besides the Beast Planet itself, that both Blokk and Lamprey fear.
These relentless automatons from the Beast Planet are composed of solid null-matter. The only way to destroy a Beast Drone is to damage the null-matter containment unit that allows them to maintain their presence in this dimension. When their containment units are damaged, the Beast Drones instantly implode. The Beast Drones will eliminate any opposition they face by ferocious attacks and ultimately by endless numbers. Their weapons are integral components of their bodies, and cannot be utilized by anyone else. Anything touched or attacked by a Beast Drone is instantly blasted to another dimension contained within the Beast Planet.
Blokk’s personal fighter is an ultra-enhanced version of a Tachyon Marauder, made to resemble the mighty warrior himself. Wing extensions harbor specialized functions which enhance his already brutal attack force.
Comprising the bulk of the Beast Planet's infinite invasion force, Tachyon Marauders are deadly and effective harbingers of doom. Drone Fighters are composed of solid null-matter and utilize the same null-matter containment units as the beast drones. This is the Achilles heel of an otherwise flawless design. Weaponry consists of 'event-horizon' projectiles, which upon impact literally blast their target into another dimension.
These vast ships help guide the Beast Planet on its path of destruction. Once the Beast Planet’s target is established, the cruisers set off to colonize neighboring worlds, creating a network of worm hole entry ports which allows entry of infinite Tachyon Marauder squadrons.
The World Claw is the final and worldly devastating weapon of the Beast Planet. It annihilates everything in its path. No world has survived the death grip of its three super sized pincers, each having the density of a million black holes. Once the Beast Planet breaches a planet’s atmosphere the World Claw reaches out draws the helpless planet into the Beast, where is savagely pulled apart and converted to null matter, sucked into the void, or spit out as a dead planet where evil reigns.
Fire Fluff
==========
Planet Fire holds a significant source of energy that is often raided and harnessed by all worlds of the Planet Cluster. Cities resembling gigantic cauldrons cap the openings of the numerous volcanoes found on the surface. The people of Planet Fire harness and control the planet's vast energy resources through dam-like structures attached to volcanic flows. A thin crust that gives way to spontaneous lava eruptions covers the entire surface of the planet. To cope with the blazing and scalding world, its inhabitants are capable of liquefying in ultra-extreme temperatures.
Pyrus is the glorious young ruler of Planet Fire. Although struggling with being prematurely thrust into his role as ruler, Pyrus is still the quintessential teenager, often thinking he knows everything without ever fully grasping the situation. Sometimes hotheaded, his enthusiasm for action often supersedes well thought out strategy.
Loyal confidant and surrogate father to Pyrus, the Vizier has faith in the young Prince, and guards his safety with a vengeance. He is constantly reminding the young Prince that his first responsibility is to the people of Planet Fire and that should never be forgotten, even in the face of the Alliance. The Vizier is openly hostile of the Alliance and constantly tries to persuade Pyrus that they are not to be trusted. At times irritable and testy, the Vizier is extremely dedicated to tradition and the old laws, something that the boy, much to his aggravation, would rather update.
Reflecting the leadership of their young Prince, the Igneous Knights of Planet Fire are a rugged and hotheaded group. Despite their fiery disposition, they are extremely loyal to their home world and willing to lay their lives on the line to preserve its sovereignty. The Knights' unique armor is a combination of precious metals and igneous rock, endowed with the ability to repair itself from damage simply by being submerged into a lava source. Their dangerous flame lances are the Knights' main offensive weapons, used as brutal lances in hand to hand combat and as flame throwers in medium range conflicts.
Lava Dogs are ferocious reptilian creatures that live in subterranean lava tubes and volcanic caverns. These indigenous animals have adapted to the lava flows and use them as extremely bountiful hunting grounds as well as routes for transportation to and from volcanic formations. Lava Dogs get their name from the loud bark they emit while hunting. They almost always travel in pairs and are impossible to train or domesticate. These fiery creatures have a bark as savage as their bite.
Capable of carrying out a wide variety of missions, the Inferno is a deadly multi-role fighter. The fighters are made from super-light and extremely strong metallic alloys that allow for nimble maneuvers during combat. The light weight also allows the craft a small and powerful engine that is powered by Volcanic Alloy, a hard to find and incredibly heavy heat source. During launch, the craft's wing flaps open to capture hot air drafts (either from natural vents or from carriers), which instantly catapult the fighter into action. The ship and pilot stand vertically during combat, echoing the tradition of the Igneous Knights as they rode their assault chariots into battle.
The Thermal Skyboat is the luxurious private yacht used exclusively by the Royalty of Planet Fire. The heat sails capture warm drafts that emanate from the numerous heat sources on the planetary surface. The Skyboat is constructed from extremely precious metals, showcasing the power and extravagance of Planet Fire's royal family.
Rock Fluff
==========
Planet Rock is a rugged, mountainous world where the inhabitants have built homes high atop towering cliffs to seek protection from the violent windstorms at ground level. Planet Rock is bountiful in mineral deposits, which are quarried for the manufacturing of its tough planetary defenses. The only planet with an array of Battle-moons, Planet Rock has an almost insurmountable line of defense from enemy assaults. Planet Rock is the strongest planet in the Planet Cluster and is essential to any defensive effort mounted against the oncoming Beast Planet. The people of Planet Rock are as hard skinned and tough willed as their beautiful and dangerous world.
Graveheart is the charismatic miner who aims to unite the warring planets against the oncoming Beast Planet. Loyal, noble, and fiercely courageous, Graveheart is a natural leader, whose sense of right and wrong is only exceeded by his sense of honor. An able warrior, he turns to war only as a final option. Graveheart would never commit anyone to a task that he would not do himself. In the most dangerous situations, he is always the first one in and the last one out. The success of the alliance rests on his shoulders, a responsibility he bears with great honor and loyalty, and has already cost him banishment form his home world.
Jade is grim, tough, and as hard as granite. A commander in the Planet Rock military, Jade is Graveheart's childhood best friend. She is terse, to the point, and has no patience for foolishness or cowardice. Jade abandoned her commission in the Planet Rock military to accompany Graveheart on his mission to unite the Planet Cluster. While she didn't necessarily believe in his cause initially, she absolutely believes in Graveheart, and has come along to ensure his safety and success.
Gruff, arrogant, and stubborn, Lord Mantel sits like a rock on his throne and rarely, if ever, leaves it. Supremely confident in the power of his planet's battle-moons, Mantel has no interest in offering any help from Rock to the Alliance. Mantel feels that his battle-moons can handle anything that is thrown at them and that the Alliance would take his troops for granite. He may not live to regret his arrogance.
Quarriors form the rock solid warrior divisions of Planet Rock. Their long history of dedication dates back to the very construction of Anvilla, the ancient capital city of Planet Rock. Quarriors provide miners protection from all possible threats during necessary drilling and essential excavation raids, as well as protecting Planet Rock from would be raiders. A Quarrior's armor is made as tough and durable as the planet itself and is able to receive a great deal of abuse before needing repairs. Many veteran Quarriors proudly wear their battle-damaged armor as a badge of honor, paying tribute to the many battles fought defending Planet Rock and its people. To meet the demands required of the Quarriors, they are equipped with an arsenal of tools and weapons that enable them with an incredible range of versatility. Self-contained breathing apparatus, multiple wavelength visors, and audio environmental sonar are all standard issue, as are concussion rifles and Sonic Cannons. Both of these use highly compressed sound waves to deliver a powerful impact to anything that dares threaten a miner.
The main line of aerial defense for Planet Rock is the Arrowhead assault vehicle, a lumbering craft that looks streamlined yet impossibly heavy to fly. The Arrowhead delivers up to a dozen troops to the battlefield, and also functions as a formidable line of air defense during enemy engagements. Armaments include nose and tail quartz cannons and a top-mounted sonic cannon. The Arrowhead's enormous Vertical Take Off and Landing (V/TOL) engines can swivel during flight to provide better maneuverability and improved stability while hovering. The fighter is extremely well armored, and can take many direct impacts from enemy munitions with minimal effects to performance.
Belonging to the Tectonic carrier class, the Lodestone is Planet Rock's flagship troop and equipment carrier. A fully loaded Tectonic class carrier can hold up to a 100 Quarriors, 6 CRPR units, and 12 MULE Dozers. Like the rest of Planet Rock's arsenal, the Lodestone isn't built for speed, but for absolute strength and resilience. Extremely well shielded against enemy attack, these carriers can take a supreme amount of abuse before showing any signs of damage. The Lodestone can set down on planetary surfaces to unload its powerful invasion force.
CRPR's (Combat Ready Processing Rigs) are the lifeblood of Planet Rock's recovery missions to neighboring planets. A single CRPR unit can house all the men, equipment, and storage needed to forcibly acquire and retrieve desperately needed raw materials to Planet Rock. The task of the CRPR is threefold: 1) to deliver Quarriors to resource rich areas; 2) to gather the raw resources quickly; 3) to bring them all home safely. Essentially a slow moving armored transport, the 60 foot tall CRPR is endowed with highly effective weapons systems that more than adequately protect it and its cargo. Four quartz projectile cannons are mounted on a rotating turret, providing solid fire power in all directions, while side-mounted canons provide protection from fast moving ground vehicles and personnel.
MULE (Multi Utility Loading Excavators) Dozers are primarily used for the harvesting and mining of raw materials for Planet Rock. Equipped with sonic and quartz cannons, laser blasting tools, and diamond drilling rigs, there is little that can't be dissected by a MULE Dozer. Its potent harvesting equipment also makes the MULE a lethal force on the battlefield, where it acts as the front line muscle, supporting ground operations. An excellent all-round workhorse, the MULE is the backbone of Planet Rock's defense corps. Its modular design allows it to be retrofitted to provide much needed minesweeping and construction functions as well.
Bone Fluff
==========
Food is scarce on all the worlds but the common nutrients they all need for survival can be found in abundance on Planet Bone. It would not be obvious how rich the planet is in nutrients by examining it's surface, which bears more resemble to a graveyard than a life sustaining resource. The source of these valuable nutrients is an unpleasant, gooey moss that completely covers the planet's exterior. The terrain consists mostly of plains occasionally broken up by scattered buttes and plateaus that eerily resemble skeletal remains. The inhabitants of Bone have a dragon-like appearance and live in a semi-feudal society, ruled by a supreme and crass Emperor.
Femur's arrogant, wheedling, and manipulative nature hardly befits his status as Emperor of the Imperial Bone Empire. Yet, Femur is a fitting ruler for a planet where the most cunningly manipulative and deceiving individuals procure royalty status. Despite having Femur as their leader, the people of Bone are known for their bravery and ferocity in battle. Weak willed, and blindly arrogant, Femur looks for whatever options will best benefit him personally. His trust is constantly tested by the alliance, however he can be incredibly persuasive at times, unfortunately, it is usually for selfish reasons.
Young and opportunistic, Pelvus is Femur's second-in-command. Since assassination is the only means of promotion on Planet Bone, he is constantly trying to do away with Femur so he can ascend to the Throne. Femur is well aware of Pelvus' plans and constantly tries to stay one step ahead of him.
The Bone Warriors are fierce and brave fighters and unlike their half hearted ruler Femur, never run from conflict. Dedication, strength and stamina are necessary characteristics for Sternum soldiers, however, intelligence is not. To make up for their lack of intellect, Planet Bone scientists have created 'Smart Suits', armored combat suits that are endowed with artificial intelligence. These suits enable warriors with better decision making abilities in battle, often nudging or suggesting courses of action. A symbiotic relationship exists between the suits and the weapon systems that the Sternum Warriors carry. This relationship allows the suit to maintain and rearm the weapons properly, something that warriors would normally have a great deal of difficulty with. In battle, smart suits have been known to act in very bizarre and unpredictable ways, even having been witnessed carrying off dead or disabled warriors to safety while still continuing to fire at enemies. The Sternum Warrior / Smart Suit combination is a highly efficient and powerful weapon in any combat situation.
Like most of Planet Bone's technology, the Carapace fighter is a bio-engineered technological oddity. The craft is a living machine that needs to be healed rather than repaired when damaged. Its frilled wing surfaces bend and twist, providing the Carapace with more agility than any fighter in the Planet Cluster. Another unusual feature is that through continued use, the fighter actually becomes stronger and more agile, making veteran Carapace fighters a tough lot indeed. Carapace fighter pilots are trained and matched to specific ships from the moment they enter the Air Academy. This long-term relationship creates a symbiotic pilot/machine link that more than one Bone pilot acknowledges in saving their tailbone!
The Clavicle is the glorious Grand Prize of any emperor that has successfully taken over the Throne of Planet Bone. Constructed in Bone's traditional and unique bio-engineered manner, this massive vessel is aware of its environment and can react to it accordingly. It has been known to flinch when fired upon and even expresses emotions that resemble anger, excitement, and fear. Depending on the threat posed by an adversary, the Clavicle might be disposed to get "angry" and instigate an attack, or panic and quickly flee the area. Remarkably adaptive, the Clavicle can acclimate itself to foreign planetary atmospheres quite easily where it behaves more like a dirigible, expanding itself like an enormous lung to 'breathe in' the surrounding atmosphere.
Ice Fluff
=========
Planet Ice is a world carved out of glaciers from oceans long ago frozen. Since it is the only source of pure water in the Planet Cluster, Planet Ice is subject to constant raids by the other Planets. The constant attacks on Planet Ice make its insect-like inhabitants extremely wary of visitors. Planet Ice's armies can break down into molecular machines and travel via an icy Nanonyte Fog. This fog surrounds unsuspecting raiders, and then solidifies to attack. The people of Ice also use Nanonytes to manipulate matter and heal injuries.
King Cryos is a brilliant tactician who realizes that his home world's only chance against the Beast Planet is in creating an alliance between all the planets in the Planet Cluster. Thus, he is the first ruler to commit his world to the Alliance. Deep in his heart the King of Ice is tired of war and wishes for peace to succeed. He will do whatever it takes to make that a reality. He is a gracious and beloved ruler, as well as loving and concerned father.
Loving teenage daughter of King Cryos, Lady Zera occasionally finagles her way into her father's adventures. She is an extraordinary combination of Princess and teenager, astonishingly mature one moment and incredibly childish the next. She's also fiercely independent and will go to great lengths to prove herself, especially to Prince Pyrus, whom she sees as an equal.
The elite Glacial Troopers are superbly trained in battle tactics and are hand chosen for their strength, intelligence, and leadership abilities. Notorious for their savage offensive attacks, Glacial forces, led by their Spider Tank Battalions, attack in massive waves of lightning quick strikes. Known as 'Avalanches', these strikes have a devastating effect on anything that gets in their path. Acting ferociously as a group, Glacial Troopers are just as effective as individuals. Each trooper is equipped with a Freon-based weapon system that features the chillingly accurate Glacial Assault rifle. A single soldier can unleash a flurry of Freon based Grenades on an enemy by using all four of its arms to "lock, load, and launch!" The second set of arms also make them extremely deadly during hand to hand combat, a situation most opponents wouldn't want to face.
Spider Tanks are the main ground assault vehicles of Planet Ice. They are formidable weapons of war, extremely agile and adept in a variety of environments. Ice Spiders can sprint through open fields, climb crevasses, leap across open chasms, and even float on water. As an integral part of Planet Ice's notorious 'Avalanche' attacks, Spiders form a spherical armored shell and roll down hillsides at breathtaking speeds, pouncing on enemies with savage fury.
The Ice Skiff is Planet Ice's instrument of choice for air assaults and quick-strike missions. Although built primarily for speed, it can deliver a mighty punch with its Freon-based weapon systems. A massive rear mounted cold fusion reactor gives the Ice Skiff enough power to plow through any space or atmospheric environment with ease. Its quick speed also allows it to act as an excellent reconnaissance vehicle, obtaining valuable information about enemy activity.
The Aurora is the flagship of Planet Ice's deep space carrier fleet. Containing 23 Blade Wing fighters within its two launch bays, the Aurora can unleash a massive aerial invasion force from deep space with little warning. A crew of 200 tends to the maintenance of the Aurora's fighter group and also man the massive gun and missile batteries that encircle the carrier. An enormous tactical advantage for the Aurora carrier class is the ability to land on planetary surfaces to mount ground campaigns. By rotating it's 6 massive Cold Fusion Thruster Columns from a horizontal to a vertical position, the Aurora can safely land and deliver its Blade Wing and Spider Tank forces deep within enemy lines.
The Deep Freeze is an orbital tactical supply station that services and re-arms Blade Wing fighter squadrons during battle. A large sensor array on the ship's midsection allows it to detect and monitor enemy squadron positions to provide pilot tactical support during battle.
Although not capable of sight, an Ice Mite will seldom miss its mark due to guidance provided by a top mounted cannon. As 'heat signatures' are acquired, the heat-seeking cannon directs the blind beasts to a target by pulling a bit attached the Mite's mouth. Ice Mites are comprised of Nanonites, microscopic working machines that are exclusive to Planet Ice. These tiny machines have the ability to create much larger forms when linked together. Because they are microscopic, Nanonites have the added ability to travel undetected through the air as a mist, called the Nanonyte Fog. Through this medium they can travel quickly and secretly reform as Ice Mites, taking the enemy by surprise.
Beast Fluff
===========
The furthest planet from the sun, this lifeless world is being transformed into a colony for use by the Beast Armada. When colonization is completed, the rocky crust of the planet will peel away to reveal the Beast within.
Tek Fluff
=========
The sole source of information available concerning Planet Tek is through its last known survivor, Princess Tekla. Tek was known to be a highly advanced world inhabited by cybernetic beings. More information will hopefully become available as soon as Princess Tekla downloads the historical records archived in her ally Voxx's memory banks.
The sole survivor of Planet Tek, Princess Tekla is filled with rage over the destruction of her home world. She has dedicated her life to destroying the Beast Planet. She is honorable and brave in battle, and has given Graveheart the courage to stand up and form the alliance as a last chance for their worlds' survival. Tekla is a key factor in the alliance because she and her cyber ally Voxx contain valuable information regarding the Beast Planet.
Hovering constantly by Tekla's side is a mechanical sphere named VOXX, an artificial intelligence whose main function is to provide Princess Tekla with information.
The Vari-Tek fighter is an example of art married with wartime technology. Possessing mind-boggling speed, maneuverability, and weaponry, the Vari-Tek is second to none in aerial combat. Two side-mounted fully rotating engine bays (or paddles) allow the Vari-Tek to fly in one direction while facing another, totally disorienting enemy pilots. A fully rotating 360-degree cockpit provides a wide field of vision during combat while the super strong Titanium hull ensures the durability to complete dangerous missions.
Sand Fluff
==========
Planet Sand is a hot desert world with a elegantly crafted cities built by seemingly un-evolved hairy by-ped sand creatures. Through Zera’s eyes we learn that things are not as they seem. The Sand Creatures are a highly evolved species with telepathic powers and a linked spirit. The Sun people, who were thought to be intelligent, are found out to be careless and ignorant. They disregard Graveheart and the Alliance’s warnings of the Beast Planet.
Prison Fluff
============
The Prison planet has been a ghost planet for many years. Rumors of it’s existence have been distorted for throughout all worlds. It is possible that the Prison planet holds a key to defeating the Beast Planet. The worst criminals and outcasts of every world have been banished to the Prison Planet.
Jungle Fluff
============
The Jungle planet is a seemingly uninhabited world, until our heroes discover that the plant life has evolved into a unified consciousness. Through Zuma’s telepathic powers we learn that this peaceful plant world will make the ultimate sacrifice so that the others may live to fight another day. A clipping from the Jungle planet will be brought along with Femur so that the Jungle planet’s spirit may live on.
