Need some writing tips

Yeah, I pretty much suck when it comes to writing openings to stories and in the area of descriptions, i suck worse than a porn star.

I'll edit this post with a sample of my sucking openings later.

Okay, first off, see all those topics that say "Sticky" and "Announcement"? Read those, if they're not a fic. Plenty of help in there. Not to sound rude or anything, mind you, but it's a good place to start. And as far as startting at the beginning, if you can't start at the beginning, start in the middle, and when the tiem comes, you'll come up with a beginning. Trust me on this one.

I skimmed the titles of those stickied threads, but I'll actually read them this time or atleast browse through em.

Edit: Oi, just reread that resources for fanfic writers, which I originally thought was just a thread for starwars fic writers, I found some good links. Oi...I have this feeling that I'm going to be banned, because I probably broke half a dozen rules by making this thread.

Probably not. I think that you may be one of the first newbies to poest here so early and have soemthing make sense. *shrug* In any case, generally if you have questions about a certain forum, you can PM the moderator if the forum and he'll get back to you within a day or so. Or you can PM me, since *points at my title* I am practically always up.

Just make sure you read through the Announcements section, and the stickies in the forums.

And with that, this thread should be locked and/or deleted.
