Golden Stardestroyer Fanfic Awards

Chris O'Farrell just reminded me about the GSDAs.

The ASVS crowd will be familiar with this. For the rest of you, I will explain.

I will begin the nomination process in mid-November.

This is an incentive for all you authors to put out as many chapters as possible, and fast!

There will also be new rules regarding eligibility. For instance, any winners from the previous two years will probably be ineligible.

Stravo, I expect you to win a few awards :)


The Golden Stardestroyer Fanfic Awards are, well, awards for fanfics. Because of the close relationship between ASVS and SD.net, fanfics posted here will be included in the nomination process. There are a number of categories.

More GSDA Stuff!

OK, based on lengthy deliberations with Chuck (GSDA Assistant on ASVS), we have decided that only fanfics that have had new chapters posted since January 1st will be eligible for nomination. And this is only real additions to the story; we will not accept crap chapters churned out just to make a story eligible.

Consider this incentive to finish old stories!

Is it only SW vs ST fanfics that get in or is it any fanfic that involves SW or ST in someway? Or any fanfic at all?

I LOVE this Golden Stardestroyer award thing...Dalton is so awesome for even having a thing like the archives...I actually got my first fan email (not directly linked to SD Net) thanks to those archives. It's a good feeling knowing that you're entertaining people with ideas from your own head....Thanks Dalton for giving a rookie a shot. :D

Most of the categories will be SW vs ST. That is, after all, the point of the awards. Nomination start date is mentioned earlier in this thread.
