Kara no Kyoukai Xover. Recommended by Ablurk. If you're familiar with AlfheimWanderer's previous work on .hack//EVA, you'll remember that he slipped in tons of Type-Moon references along the way. He lets that run free here, fusing the background of the three major Type-Moon series (Kara no Kyoukai, Tsukihime, and Fate/stay-night) into the alternate history of Code Geass's ATB timeline, and allowing certain characters to cross over. This results in some interesting substitutions (Lelouch's Power of the King is a degenerate copy of the Unified Language, for instance, and the Emperor's memory-manipulation abilities are explained via Etherlite manipulation), and the changes are already causing events to spiral away from canon. Like .hack//EVA, however, this story requires knowing both universes well to enjoy; you'll miss many, many references and end up lost otherwise.

The Yellow Bastard visits Gotham, gets busted by the Bat, sent to Arkham, and sprung by his daddy shortly before his final battle with Hartigan (note: for some reason the author presents "That Yellow Bastard" as happening during the same time frame as "A Dame to Kill For" & "The Hard Goodbye"). During his short stay at Arkham, his tales of the lawlessness of Basin City intrigue the inmates, prompting several of them ot break out and relocate. Batman heads after them. The writing could be better, but it's an interesting idea, the characterization is nice, and seeing how the various Sin City chars react to Bats and vice versa is nifty.

There are both political and religious undertones written into the story (i.e. The Presence plays a minor part and it shows how the Islamic world would likely treat the provocatively dressed female superheroes, e.g. Wonder Woman, Zatanna, Black Canary). It's an SM/WW story as well and it does a pretty damn good job of showing their relationship both from their own point of view and from others. This is one of the better DCU fanfics that I've seen. Darkseid is written exactly as he should be here as well (he should strike fear into all the other gods). The only negative about this fic is that there are some loose ends that aren't tied up, but the author specifically mentions it in his profile and it's supposed to have more of an open ended ending.

Recommended by Vander. Basically it's an AU story set after Superman Returns (though in this case the Justice League already existed before he left). While it is a Superman/Wonder Woman fic there is a huge smattering of Superman/Aphrodite as well, which obviously has some hilarious consequences. Maxima shows up early on and causes even more problems for Superman. This isn't a crackfic, but there are some very funny scenes and the author does do emotion quite well. Unlike most other stories the Greek Gods are actually somewhat reasonable and seem more human in this one. Recommended by Roosterman71. It may have been recommended before, but I don't read a lot of JLU stories so I might have missed it. Anyway, I found SuperPower recently and enjoyed it a great deal. At first it seems like just a feel-good romance between Superman and Powergirl, but then a trickle-down effect of fear begins to grip both the League and the galaxy as a whole as people ask just what risks there are to two Kryptonians dating. Worst of all, it is Bruce Wayne who leads the crusade against their relationship. I'm not intimately familiar with the JLU verse, but I gathered from the story that this is set after Darkseid brainwashed Superman, and that event forms a backdrop of the paranoia and fear of him dating a fellow Kyptonian. A few typos, but otherwise very well written.

It's one of the more emotional comic based stories that I've seen and because of that it's difficult to read at times (it had me in tears multiple times). Basically the story starts off with Aphrodite running away from Ares who then demands compensation in the form of Diana (yes I mean that in exactly the way you think). This story will make you hate Ares and Aphrodite for what they do to Diana. My only major complaint is that the story was too short.

Tamers setting is a bit different, a bit darker. Hypnos is working with the Tamers, Takato is a bit older, has a couple of OC bullies giving him crap for being into Digimon and for various other reasons. Then he summons Impmon instead of Guilmon and it's allllll downhill from there... Shame it's been dead for a bit more than a year or so, but what's there is good stuff.
