Did the Kaladir even accomplish anything worthwhile?
So.. is Nalifan finally going to summon his wife and companions to rout the army?
1) Just a few drops in the bucket. Not every one of Nalifan's gambits is going to pay off big.
2) He still can't. His friends are not the friends of the kingdom that enslaved him.

Well, the Kaladir killed a lot of wizards, the importance of which is paramount to countering the Khaduli way of war. But yeah, seems to me that the celestial could have been more effective doing hit and run. Also, presuming a calling rather than summoning effect, dead is dead.

Hit and run was the original plan, but Kaladir saw that the security was too tight for that. The only way to get any wizards meant getting stuck in past the point of no return, which they did. The Khaduli aren't used to magical guerilla warfare, but they are learning.
