We could tell you more about why it's a false positive if you post a screenshot of the warning you get.

I don't have a good image host atm but the threat it's telling me there is here is a "Trojan.Maliframe" virus with the location of said threat being the file I linked earlier.

That's a generic identifier.
That sounds more like suspicious HTML markup than the image file itself, meaning Symantec doesn't like the markup in the webpage.
Ignore it.

it called it a low priority threat anyway.

For anyone wondering, there was a board outage from yesterday afternoon until this morning. The board went down while Mike was away.

Well, when I couldn't access the board I sort of figured it was an outage... which, of course, happened just when I needed to look up a recipe posted on here. Glad it's back.

Every function of the board, but above all the quote function which at times will not work at all, is now running much much slower since the upgrade for me.

Me too, sort of. When I click a link that should go to a new browser page, the little swirly thing swirls and swirls, but nothing else happens for a while. If I hit <esc> (sometimes also need to refresh page) the swirly stops and the new page shows. Doesn't always happen, but frequently enough to annoy.

I honestly have no idea why that might be happening. Unfortunately, since I upgraded both the server OS and the BBS software, it's possible that the culprit could be either.

FWIW, I've now switched to the subsilver2 theme (a bit too bright for my eyes, but everything's more or less back to their proper places) and the slowdown seems to have mostly gone away. Should the theme setting be able to affect reponse time like that? Image

The board slowdowns disappeared or at least lessened for me too when I switched to subsilver, so it looks like there is something related to that.

It was running a bit slower but now it is as fast as I was used to with the new "old" SDN theme.

Wow, new look had me in panic for a few minutes. Took me that long to figure out where the theme settings were hidden.
Anyone who has forgotten as well, its in User Control Panel -> Board Preferences -> Edit global settings -> My board style.

The board update reminded me of a weirdness I've been having with logging on.

I have no problems logging on when I click my usual browser bookmark to the forums index page and click the "login" link; the name and password boxes autopopulate (I'm using the current Firefox) and I just need to hit the confirm button.

When I click on the link in an e-mail notification without logging in first, I get the login page but the text boxes don't autopopulate. It's been exactly the same before and after the site update.

This works properly on every other phpBB-powered site I visit regularly. Why not here? Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Your password settings are probably page-specific instead of domain-specific?

Did a bunch of stuff in the Announcements forum vanish?

Er...hm. Interesting. I honestly do not know.

It's not a big deal, but it's an interesting error. Maybe some data didn't get moved over properly or something. *shrugs* Something for Mike to deal with later. I just know that there was stuff a *little* more recent than 2012 on there, anyway :P

It's the standard Firefox password setup; I just looked, and everything seems to be set to just the domain URL.

Although, that said, the login page I see when I use the link on the forum index page, and the login page I see after clicking on a link from an e-mail, appear to be identical. Except that in one, the autocomplete works, the other doesn't.

Odd. Honestly don't know what to make of that.

Oddity earlier. Using android phone, tap on notifications the box for notifications turns up extreme stage left, mostly off screen.

I'll fire off a query in the Firefox Support forums, maybe there's an otherwise innocuous setting buried in the depths of the phpBB software that nudges the Firefox autocomplete routines off kilter.

Maybe, or maybe not, slightly urgent — is anyone else getting an "Untrusted Connection" error when clicking on a thread link from an update e-mail? Just started happening now, it wasn't happening a few hours ago when I last browsed the site.

Ah, looking a bit deeper it seems the security certificate has expired and is invalid. False positive, or Something Weird™ going on?

Heh, beaten to it by a few minutes.

Strangely, only the e-mail links cause the error, logging in and linking to thread pages on the forum site still work with no problems.
