And yet, still no like/upvote/kudos button. How is this millenial supposed to show his appreciation for posts without a diluted, easily-digestable, pre-packaged token of approval? Fie I say, fie! :P

Does this seem like an uncritical and biased method of reading? Why yes, it does. Because it is. And I like it that way. And the people at phpBB dev can go screw if they think otherwise.

Not to mention that it breaks years of bbs and forum standard for an arbitrary justification that may not even be a useful one.
Hey, I'm just going with what has been stated. I personally prefer subsilver2 to prosilver myself. One thing to keep in mind is that the phpbb devs first implimented prosilver back in 2005 for the first 3.0.x release, and they had expected people to start to migrate by now.
Then they are fucking idiots. If you have an established user interface that everyone has become familiar with, you DO NOT change it just because. User interaces are one of those things that people usually do NOT want to change if they work well enough, because you need to relearn so many other things than just that.

Is it just me or does the board tend to load a little more slowly than it used to?

I think some others have noticed that. I have occasionally had that. Teething troubles, as Mike said. If it's chronic, try clearing your cache and cookies for the site.

This. We all know that change can be tough, but this update also streamlined the admin approval process and made it easier to view on mobile devices. It's just going to take a little getting used to.

I love the notifications feature. Definitely a step forward. Overall it's growing on me. And handily in time for The Force Awakens as well ;)

'easier' to view on mobile devices? Not for me. I have to pan and scan, no matter which way I turn my phone. It doesn't automatically resize like it used to.

Same here. This forum has long cried out for a proper mobile version, though I appreciate Mike probably doesn't have the time for such trivialities at the moment.

It wasn't terrible before. You had to manually resize it a bit to view properly, but the text would rearrange itself to accommodate your phone screen to some degree. Certainly much better than what it is now though. There may be pre-arranged bits of phpbb he could pick up to fix that?

Both this and the old version seemed to work fine on my Samsung. Sometimes a bit of pinching needed if someone posted a format-breaking pic but that's about it.

The subsilver2 theme has been installed. I'm not sure when I'll have time to create subsilver-based versions of BlackSoul and MillenniumFalcon, but it's on the "to do" list.

PS. favicon.ico was also restored.

I've noticed an oddity. I've got several tabs open, all opened with the "view first unread post" icon on the new posts page. The tabs have different icons. If there is any pattern to which tabs get the Star Destroyer and which don't, I can't see it.

I'm running Chrome on Windows 10.

More seriously, on the advanced search screen some of the text for options has such low contrast with the default background I can barely read it unless I start splashing highlighting around.

I'll probably get used to the new look, just give me some time.
I changed the font colour on that screen from #333 to #bbb, so that should fix it.
