You are "The Hero", the final bad guy has finished laying the smack down on you and is currently gloating about how is ultimate victory is just moments away and how he is invincible!
You however are about to have your second wind and turn the tables. Visions of your friends and comrades who have fallen in battle inexplicably appear before you offering words of encouragement and that through grit and determination you can do anything!
In other words, the narrative laws state you are about to win the day in an over the top dramatic fashion…

It really depends how I'm saving the day. If it's as some messianic figure, then I can't really go wrong with the Hallelujah Chorus. If it's a way that involves heavy hand-to-hand or close quarters fighting, then some rock song would be suitable.

Well the set up I gave in the OP leaned toward the basic "Over the Top Anime Style" final confrontation intrinsic in most anime these days.
Of course there are a myriad of versions, but they usually fall into one of three categories:
Version one: Person v person, usually two individuals facing off against one another. This can be everything from a "Fist of the north star" style 1v1 to DBZ level fighting. Typically the "Badguy" is always someone your own size or only slightly bigger.

Version two: "Armored" fighting, basically "magical transformation" style animus ala Ronin Warriors, TekkaMan Blade, Saint Seiya or even Guyver. Again usually the final Boss is your own size, although in a few it can be some Giant Evil God of doom or such.

Version three: Giant Robots, obviously too many examples to list THIS category can have everything from similar sized bosses, to planet sized super beings of evil (or beyond if you count TTGL)

Of course all three of the above have within them various key moments of "Victory" over the bad guy...
There is the "Mastering some legendary technique at the last moment that defeats the bad guy."
The "Powering up to the 'next level' suddenly to win"
And of course the ever popular "drawing upon some unknown source of strength after your hit points hit -0" to win the day

Ironically... I cannot actually think of a single instance of your last example. Leading troops to fight off a bad guy in a final encounter, ala "Enders Game" Although if I DID have such a run in myself... I would without hesitation pick Gustav's Holsts "JUPITER" for that encounter! You can just feel the legions of gleaming soldiers marching nobly to finally defeat the bad guys army.

For other encounters...
If it was a "Short Climatic" battle, I'd pick an old school fav of mine: The FF5 Final Boss Theme Great tune if your going to waste the bad guy in Two min or so

If facing down an "Eldritch Horror" or "Humorless Dark Overlord" (think Darkseid) I'd have to pick something so unfittingly silly, that it serves to De-power the serious-ness of the bad guy. As such I'd happily pick The Futurama Theme To fight to!
