Murder She Wrote is the greatest detective show ever.

Fuck David Caruso and his beachgoing semen sampling. Mystery Writer JB Fletcher all the way.

Ah, nice to see Harry Dresden got some notice already. Right now he's far and away my favorite.

We've talked about this before, and you might recall I said something to the tune of it being PURE COINCIDENCE that this dithering lady was appearing all these places that people were turning up dead.

I love the smell of September in the morning. Once we got off at Richmond, walked up to the 'G, and there was no game on. Not one footballer in sight. But that cut grass smell, spring rain...it smelt like victory.

Dynamic. When [Kuznetsov] decided he was going to make a difference, he did it...Like Ovechkin...then you find out - he's with Washington too? You're kidding.

Fun fact: Cabot Cove has a murder rate higher than Caracas.

Since Lansbury is still active, I don't see why we can't get another TV film out of the premise. I want to see more of the (remaining) CC townsfolk.

The hell with that, I want to see big screen

Per head of population though surely the fictional highest murder rate belongs to the Victorian country town of Mount Thomas

To be fair, Mount Thomas seemed to have an expanding population. It began as a one pub town with about three dozen residents. By the last season, their oddly sizable Muslim district was having problems with the rest of the community.

It may have just been a suburb of Melbourne.

but Cabot cove is really Mendicino California, the county that refuses to allow DEA to enter the county line. The current economy is based on Tourism, and selling Medicinal Pot...

Eventually everything that's not a suburb of Sydney will be a suburb of Melbourne.

Albury/Wodonga will be like San Diego/Tijuana

Raylan without a doubt deserves a spot on this list, especially after this week.

Dirk Gently, for hilarity.

Midsummer Murders is usually entertaining, but the problem is that Midsummer should be seriously depopulated by now. Either from murders or people avoiding murders.

Oh well, It's funny :D
Baltar: "I don't want to miss a moment of the last Battlestar's destruction!"
Centurion: "Sir, I really think you should look at the other Battlestar."
Baltar: "What are you babbling about other...it's impossible!"
Centurion: "No. It is a Battlestar."

Corrax Entry 7:17: So you walk eternally through the shadow realms, standing against evil where all others falter. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on your sword never dry, and may we never need you again.

Surely this thread cannot be complete without the most stylish of all hot-headed Italian detective-inspectors,

Il commissario Salvo Montalbano. A perfect mix of serious and funny, without the overbearing atmosphere of 'oh-god-we're-all-gonna-die' of the (admittedly excellent) La Piovra.

EDIT: And, really now Thanas, no mention of Horst Schimanski?

I never find anything enormous than Sherlock Holmes, even the hit manga in Japan was inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle’s creation.
