My cat has died

Post by CaiusWickersham »

My cat of 20 years died today. I was talking to another lawyer about this godawful case we're trying to settle and I noticed she was laying on the carpet with dried blood in dabs around her. I picked her up to see what was going on and noticed she had been lying in her own piss. The blood was coming from her mouth, for what reason we don't know. We decided to have her euthanized as she was having trouble walking too (she fell off the counter I put her on to see what was the matter). I saw her to the vet, into the operating room and was with her during the final moments. Needless to say, I am not in a good mood tonight.

This is pre-WWII. You can sort of tell from the sketch style, from thee way it refers to Japan (Japan in the 1950s was still rebuilding from WWII), the spelling of Tokyo, lots of details. Nothing obvious... except that the upper right hand corner of the page reads "November 1931." --- Simon_Jester

Condolences man. I'm expecting to have to go through something similar in the near future with my cat (she's got lymphoma.. and oddly enough looks a LOT like your cat).

That's very sad, twenty years is a long bond.
Her suffering is over, but you will miss her terribly, but that's because you gave her a good long life. As hard as it may be right now, you should feel good about that, she had a great owner.

Wow, 20 years is a long time.

That poor kitty. I went through a similar thing with my dog of 16 years a few months back. Never gets easy. Sorry, man.

Sorry to hear it. Twenty years is a darned decent span for a cat, though, and I expect that you saw to it she had a good life.

You were with her, and I think that's all that matters.

I'm sorry. You'll never find another cat like her, but maybe, one day, you'll find another 20yr cat.

Sorry for your loss. I know how attached one can become to those wacky fuzzballs. 20 years is a good age - teh internet says it translates to something like 97 human years.

You have my sympathies. At least you gave that cute little bundle of fur a good loving home for a solid twenty years.
