And you thought it only happened with Elmo....

Post by Temjin »

Imagine this:

Your mother asks you to go to the bakery with her to pick up some bread. Okay, fine with you. When you get there you notice it doesn't open for a another half hour. A little odd you think, but that's okay. Then you notice there are already around 5 people there waiting in line.

Then she tells you we better wait in line before more people show. A little later you look behind you and you notice about 20 people behind you.

When you finally get in, you find out that the room is about 12x12 feet. Oh, shit.

Then you see the bag your supposed to put the bread in. It's about 3 feet high and 1 1/2 feet big.

Almost every single loaf of white disapears in seconds, before you even have a chance to open your bag.

Now imagine this part very carefully:

You are stuck in a little 12x12 foot room, with 20 other people each carrying one of those giant bags, all in a mad dash to get as much bread as possible. So much so, that their willing to grab bread from someone elses bag.

This happens every day there.

The reason?

6.00$ (Canadian) for each bag.

You do not know what hell is.

Why are you concerned about the dissappearance of white bread? When people take it that leaves the bread that is actually worth eating for you.

This reminds me of a web search I did for Colt 45, thinking I would get info on the handgun.

First off, It's inexpensive. It's 6 bucks for a giant bag.

Now for the reason it's so inexpensive? It's day-old. And I believe this bakery is actually a warehouse.

It at least explaines the small room.

Now for something else:

I know white bread may not exactly be the most healthy bread, but you have to admit, it tastes better.

Oh I see, I thought it was $6 bucks a loaf. As for white bread, some tastes better as toast. But there are a lot of dark breads that taste really good.

I'm sure if I was in this situation, I would be in a Third World nation, but if there was a mad dash for bread, I'd just go into the backroom and take the ingredients for bread.
