OK, these appear to have been teething problems with the upgrade. The avatars were due to a file permissions problem. The search problem appears to have been due to the fact that I forgot to run the mysql_upgrade script after upgrading MySQL. I tried a search and it works, although I had to narrow it down to a specific user and forum (it timed out on bigger searches). I might have to either extend the PHP script timeout or increase the memory allocation to MySQL so it runs faster and doesn't time out as easily.

I just noticed my post count went wonky when I posted in Venting this evening. Yesterday it showed ~1620 posts, and today there were ~1420.

In which case that's a board correction, not a software problem.

The search timer treats each page of search results as a new search, so that if the term you're looking for generates more than one page worth of hits, it tells you that you can't perform another search yet when you try to go to the next page.

The ads at the bottom of each page decided today to start setting off my anti-virus software. Using the latest version of Kaspersky, I think it's more likely an AdSense problem than a board problem perhaps but I thought i'd mention it here.

EDIT: twelve hours later I am no longer having this problem.

1) At the top you have the old [Board index » Non-Fiction » Off-Topic] but after the upgrade when I click "Non-Fiction" I get a mix of all topics in all the sub-forums in a looooooong list.
2) Dont know if its just me but in this text editor field I can no longer click-drag select text. I can still use keyboard to do it though.

When replying to posts, the highlight & quote feature doesn't work anymore. I now have to quote the entire message in the original thread, then break it up into parts for the reply, it's back to the old days again. Smilies aren't working either when I click on them, nor are the any of the other buttons & options on the reply screen. I've tried IE and Firefox and can't get any of the above to work in either one.

I'm also getting this issue. 'course it could be an Opera thing because the check boxes are still grayed out (they are usable but you can't tell if they are checked or not).

which also seems to be missing. In fact all the javascript includes seem to be broken.

I'm having a similar problem to Phant's. Formatting buttons, as well as smiley buttons, won't work when clicked. Formatting works if I insert it manually though (smilies too). And font colors are gone too. Noticed this on Thursday 26/11.

I'm using Firefox 3.5.5 and the standard board theme.
