I stopped carrying a 'folder' and switched to carrying a leatherman... because now "I'm not carrying a knife, I'm carrying a pair of pliers" because working in a school in this day and age and having a 'knife' is frowned upon.
Also it kinda sorta means I can enforce students not having a knife without being too much of a double standard because hey it's a pair of pliers and most people are too think to put 2 and 2 together.
