So this means Star Trek V and Nemesis aren't nerd movies? If The Dark Knight turns out to be made of liquid suck, will it cease to be a nerd movie?

Sex and The City, while a bit long, did have some interestingly watchable stuff. The everything up until the end of the Mexico sequence was actually a fun (if predictable) film. You did see it, didn't you?

Actully I didn't. Nerd movies can suck but they have decent parts that most can enjoy.

Hell...it is even better to see epic war films like Mongol and Red cliff this season as well.

This year seems to have all sorts of interesting movies coming out.

Can't wait until the 2nd part of red cliff comes out.

So far I've seen (in order of favorite-ness):

IronMan. Saw it twice. Hands-down best movie of the summer so far for me.
Get Smart I wouldn't see it again in the theaters, but I was pleasantly surprised by it and enjoyed it quite a lot.
Hulk Would see it again if finances permitted.
Indy It was okay, but once was enough.

Definitely interested in Mongol, TDK and X-Files. And Wall-E.

Plus, I may be forced to see Mamma Mia!, but I will cheerfully attend and not complain once. :x Fortunately, she saw Sex In The City with a female friend and I was thusly spared.

Edit, I forgot... I never saw Hellboy, so that may be a rental before I catch Hellboy 2.

Hey, FS, what's with the ABBA hate? You don't hate Swedish pop from yesteryear, do you?

Although the soundtrack is definitely worth avoiding. BUTCHERED!

Y'all are overlooking Tropic Thunder.

Everything about this movie (except for Jack Black) is HELL YES. I mean what are you going to see, "Beverly Hills Chihuahua?"

Not a fan of musicals. :)

I don't know, we'll see. I got the girlfriend to go see Hulk and Indy, so I have to reciprocate. Maybe it won't be so bad.

That was easily the worst trailer playing in front of WALL-E.

I believe in a sign of Zeta.

Hey Mike, if you want a movie all four of you will enjoy, then I can't recommend Wall-E highly enough.

Yeah, I'd second that definitely. It's really an amazing movie, the best Pixar's ever done and easily one of the best so far this year.

Death Race looks interesting....At least the concept seems completely different than the cult classic

Thomas Paine

They thought it was great. Especially my younger son David, who wanted to see it again immediately.
And what did you think of Kung-Fu Panda?
