[Discussion] Nominations for new Senator - Feb 06

With a hope that I'm not overstepping my bounds, I'd like to kick off this months nominations for Senatorship. I actually have my own nominee in mind, but I have to do some research on his posting before bringing it to the floor.

So, minus my nomination, please drop a name or a dime on a deserving member.

Because, I suppose, that was the way things were last month . . . with a [Member] thread for nominations (Really, it should be something like [Nominations] for nominating new Senators) and a [Discussion] thread to discuss the various merits and demerits of the potential candidates. Though everyone tended to discuss in the nomination thread anyway.

at the risk of upstaging poor surlethe (again), I'm going to try nominating Sonnenburg I believe this is Chuck Sonnenburg, long time ASVSer.

I'm nominating him because:

a.) reading his posts make me laugh

b.) I like his avatar

c.) I like Pie.

A variety of times that IP has been informative and a contributing member, there are numerous times he just throws down the gauntlet for no apparent reason.

The most recent was a one liner about Greece being a loser country for not taking back it's artifacts from the British. Another being about "hogging" a fuck.

There's a few recent threads in ARSE I think where he's been annoying people, and I know he can be a real dick form the debates I've had with him (He's arrogant too, but that's a bit less forgivable than some of his other attitudes.)

I think the most grating aspect is that he's such a blatant "wannabe" IMHO.

As you say, he can contribute to the forum in positive ways, and he's certainly no troll, but there are lots of people like that too (Shep could be put into that category, so could Spanky and quite a few others who, while not outright trolls, aren't quite up to what one might call "Senate" standards.)
