I bring before you the case of our esteemed colleague Zaia. Under R.2.C.II I am calling for a vote of removal due to inactivity.

The last vote for which a record is held of Zaia participating is the vote of 16 Aug 2007. Please indicate whether you wish to retain Zaia as a member or dismiss without prejudice (that is able to return should she so desire in the future).

This is a category A vote which will require concurrence of 60% of voters and a quorum of 50% the later equaling 27 votes.

I have voted to abstain, as I'm not entirely reconciled to the current removal procedure, though its necessity is obvious. I expect that I will support any motion to reinstate any member so removed.

I'm not entirely convinced that the rules for removal as written apply to governors since they are not regular senate members and aren't subject to a nomination vote in the first place.
