I present before you, the intrepid journey of Lord Mariya in his great adventure of discussing global military affairs.

In the first two pages, he/she dropped a couple posts of eye bleeding blocks of text (not too offensive in and of itself). However, those points were responded to by a few people and by page four, Lord Martiya continued to refer back to his original posts as if they were not challenged and as if they were true.

By page four, myself and another had actually pointed out DR6 and demanded some proof of his claims. However when Martiya posted again, he/she decided to ignore and/or give the 'agree to disagree' and even a 'I've got better things to do' response to our demands for proof and yet continued to post in the thread.

It would seem to me that he/she is violating both DR6 and DR5 so I humbly refer this matter to the Senate for discussion. Is Martiya in violation? And is the poster worthy of any sort of sanction by this body?

As this Senator is personally involved, I'll abstain in any vote if and when if comes in reguards to this inquiry, however I felt it should be brought to the attention of you, my peers. Thank you.

I'd say s/he is worthy of a VI at the very most, but I'm not sure about that. It's just one thread, and lots of people have behaved like a fuckhead without consequences before in one thread. Can you find anything in other threads that it has posted in which show a pattern of repetitive behaviour of this type?

That particular thread is about the most this moron has said. When you hit profile and read most the past posts? You get one noted spam and one liners of wasted bandwidth.

Personally I'd go with Village Idiot because unless he/she has tried do something other then "I said earlier...", it's a standard spamming idiot.

The guy is sitting on my personal shitlist, but given that it is one thread I think we need to go light - title of VI for a duration of 2 months.

I will say that I would happily vote for VI but I will not motion, second or do anything other than abstain on the matter as I feel I'm in that thread a bit too much to be objective enough with those actions. That said its still where I stand.

I would have no problem with that, I just wanted this official as it were and brought to the attension of you all. Then again, after appropriate discussion, if there is enough for a vote, I welcome that too.

Milady; the poster in question has very little posting history to work with. As already pointed out, a majority of his posts are in that very thread, if not numericaly atleast those of 'substance' (I use that in the most vague way possible). He's got a bunch of one liners and such, nothing in the realm of DR5 or DR6, though I guess you could make an argument for +1 spam violation.

Perhaps if this poster establishes a trend of denseness and misbehavior, we should act; as it stands, I see no reason to move for any reprimands beyond the implicit censure of a Senate thread. One thread flameouts are common enough that many current Senators have committed them multiple times in the past; and we are not in the habit of institutionally punishing +1 spam.

So far he seems to be an annoying little twat and I certainly won't oppose giving him a VI even though he hasn't got much history. There already seems to be a trend to his "contributions" to the board, but I'm just as willing to give him more rope to hang himself with. If we do go for the latter option, I expect his fate when next he comes up to be less pleasant.

The only thing is hopefully he'll get some message. Personally I doubt it. He's so far established a wall of ignorance and a penchant for spamming and sucking up. He'll in a month or two either become a new Chitty bang or get banned because his inability to debate.

One noted difference. Most people when debating, even some of the more noted, also contribute to other threads. One posts points of debate, interesting subjects points not discussed and such not. So far he's done nothing except one note spam(If I erased half his his posts, only difference it would make is his post count, not his contribution to any of the threads barring the shit one he's in) and is continuing to screech how he's right and everyone is wrong in a debate he can't even get the history correct upon.

As such, no I am not going to go try and push any motion forward, because he's not worth the effort beyond this statement.

I'd say this is a very important length of rope to bear in mind if a case is to be built, but as it stands I think we should just bear this in mind as part of his history for further action. If he's truly worthy of a VI title, I'm sure he'll display it aplenty in threads to come, with this as his starting point. So I say wait and see.

Maximum Benefit of the Doubt says that for some reason this may just be one of his emotional, hot-button topics upon which he doesn't think straight. But I doubt it. Let him dig his own grave, if it is to come to that.
