For the record, for all our differences (and I'm sure we have more in some areas, and far less in others, over the course of the past year and a half--my political thinking has changed rather drastically, as I understand some of you know, but that's not all bad)

I am intensely curious. While often in disagreement, I always found your point of view interesting.

*giggles* God, Spyder, I thought there was a thread about this earlier. I'm a fossilized reactionary monarchist at this point. OTOH, even the Bourbons provided free food to their poor, something that modern "conservatives" insist in a socialist innovation. I've more or less given up on the hypocrisy and confusion of modern politics.

He actually got nominated and lost the vote two months running before beating the competition the third time around. He had widespread support, the problem was that so did some of the others.

I did ask to be removed from the senate… over one year ago. I wasn’t reading the mains forum, I wasn’t satisfies with some recent decisions and it seemed pointless to be part of it and have a vote that was being counted for majories and such. Democracy is supposed to be informed and all that. Things have changed since then and I intend to remain a part of the SDN community. . I wasn't expecting to actually be removed without explicitly asking someone, so I didn't think much of what was going on recently.

I did; took about forteen months but I’ve realized I’m around enough to participate and it’s pointless to cut myself out of the loop. That’s what democracy is about though isn’t it, incoherent changes of heart affected by incalculable variables resulting in a confusing outcome?

So now with Sea Skimmer back in this gives us 51 eligible voters with 52 different posters. (Again Rob is the tiebreaker). We also have 1 temporarily inactive (Zaia). I won't recap the voting majorities like last time but the one thing I will say is that quorum for bannings and rules is now 26 votes.
