The BBC have a correspondent in the Kenyan village where part of Obama's family are from, and the celebrations are in full swing.

The Fox coverage is gold, although watching Karl Rove declare this a day 'all American should celebrate' made me feel lsightly nauseous.

I love the smell of September in the morning. Once we got off at Richmond, walked up to the 'G, and there was no game on. Not one footballer in sight. But that cut grass smell, spring rain...it smelt like victory.

Damn.

And now Senator Obama (he's not President Elect until the Electoral College votes if I am remembering correctly) has to watch everything he does, because everything he does from here on out will be used against him in '12.

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."
