You should try drawing something less sterile, less clean, less geometric. You should draw something ANGRY and BLASPHORITOUS and something that makes as little sense as you can imagine. With flamethrowers and knives.

Like maybe one of your robots, battle damaged, with exposed hydraulics, stabbing another robot in the face with a giant robot bayonet. Or your giant robot punching a giant ant in the face.

Aha! Try drawing a Transformer!

Or a soldier in a gas mask impaling a naked native savage with a spear that doubles as a jackhammer spike-drill, with blood and guts spewing out everywhere.

Something dynamic, something fluid, something really violent and ridiculous! Something that makes you snicker and giggle while you're in the process of drawing it.

Hell, even your bog-basic robot is alright. If you draw it stomping on a school bus full of nuns and orphans, or punting people off by kicking them in the ovaries, or something. Draw a bog-basic robot in an amusing pose, like thrusting his crotch forward, or doing the robot, or posing like superman and opening up his chest hatch to reveal the pilot inside or his engine mechanisms. Draw your bog-basic robot on its aerial delivery system, namely a giant robot surfboard.

Draw Mechagodzilla.

If you want, you can practice drawing people AND complicated mechanical parts.

Draw amputees with limbs replaced by various freakish mechanisms.

Like a man with cannons for feet, so he can rocketjump and attack people with his hands that have been replaced with a fish hook.

Or a woman whose chest and breasts have been cleaved off and replaced by automatic rifles, with bayonets mounted on them, and her feet turned into spike-stilts and her hands replaced with buzzsaws hanging out of chains! She can also have a mechanical scorpion's tail, like Skoponok. And her mouth could be replaced with a radiator grille or something! Something messy and fuck ugly.

YEAH!

I drawed an improvised armored post apocalyptic pickup truck. My next revision will have some more spikes, skulls, and guns.

Hmm, perhaps I should draw a cyborg nun with machinegun tits and flamethrower hands...

Here's a re-imagining of a Combine Overwatch soldier, well re-imagined in the sense that I wanted more detail and only glanced at a reference.

Hmm time for some HL2 playing this weekend!

Interesting variant on the helmet.
What is Project Zohar?

Dig the battle damage. Shows a little more growth in your skill.

P.S. What the hell is up with you and your tiny head AVs?

That's cool, Muffin. Now draw us a cybernetic fossil-fueled penguin with a drill bit for a beak.

I do like the battle-bot's posture as it suggests that it is in a desperate struggle to survive and endure, despite its damage and everything. NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER!

I was just working my fingers with these, really just an exercise in sketching and drawing and a release of some of the tension incurred by finals week.

I wonder if you can design an imposing corporate logo for your soldiers, tanks, and mechs, to hint they're all working for an quintessentially evil megacorporation.

'Secondly, I don't see why "income inequality" is a bad thing. Poverty is not an injustice. There is no such thing as causes for poverty, only causes for wealth. That's an awesome idea, I will get to it along with drawing some crazy non-mech stuff!

I like the walker! It's gritty, worn down and used, and resembles the ED from Robocop and a Dreadnought from 40k!

I envy your pencil work. It's so clean and crisp. I'm almost tempted to digitally "ink" over it and color some pics.

I hope you don't mind if I do give in to said temptation at some point.
