So, Darkevilme, if I understand your position:

-You accept the basic narrative of Downfall.
-The Chamarrans don't get involved in those events because they fear a Centralite or Klavostani trick
-After the creation of the Eye, they start lobbing missiles at the Byzantine fleet while it attempts to escape from MEH Earth.

Yeah. that's broadly the face of it.

Or rather. We had an opportunity to try and go and stop the massacre, took it and were on our way to attack the byzantines before the eye formed but before we could get to the byzantines the eye appeared so the missiles are just to make our position clear on the Byzantines actions.
