Dude, the weight of excitement that you're bringing would be a negative on a scale.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

War, Worf, wuss, I can't believe this isn't a spoof. If it isn't, the education system has failed another. It's got to be, after the Worf in the other thread who kills Jedi, Space Marines and the Doctor.

Hey gorch, Klingon pimple, is Worf your idea of a good time?

Taking it for granted a moment that Gorch is serious...
gorch wrote:The Star Trek Maquis terrorists could defeat the Star Wars Rebellion against the Empire any day.
The Maquis couldn't even hold their own against the Cardassians, who were as big a bunch of losers as Trek has ever seen.
gorch wrote:The Rebels were nothing more than terrorists anyway. They had no defined territory, no representation or recognition in the Senate, and operated in secrecy from planet to planet (e.g., Dantooine, Alderan, Hoth, etc.).
Yes, the Rebellion was an insurgent group with secret bases. Yet they still had standing armies and capital warships, albeit in far smaller numbers than the Empire. The Maquis were pathetically equipped in comparison.
gorch wrote:Thomas Riker could kick Luke Skywalker's ass. Riker survived on his own for years on a barren planet.
Bullshit. Thomas Riker survived in an underground Federation facility with a working power supply and replicators. There were not hostile aliens or other serious threats to his safety.
gorch wrote:Luke couldn't last five minutes on his home planet before getting his ass kicked by the Sand People.
At the time, Luke was a twenty-year-old dumbass with no combat training, so it's no surprise that one of the Sand People could beat him.

This is for the klingon pimple, not you Ted C.

Luke was ambushed by the Sand People, which means either they were waiting for him (knowing that someone would come for R2-D2) or were sneaking up on him while he was fucking around looking at the Banthas. Luke had livid on Tatooine all his life, it's not unreasonable to assume that he was familiar with them, having run into them before. He just got hoodwinked.

Real soldiers get ambushed all the time, so by this logic we should assume that they are chucklefucks too. In fact we see SF and the various other militaries ambushed frequently too, so using your logic we must assume that the Trek powers are fucking idiots as well.

oh my.

Considering, that Anakin was able lift boulders big enough to crush those tusken tents with 1 hit during combat (from AOTC novelization), several jedi force pushing battle droids (again during combat) and there's Jedi who don't use lightsabres at all. I think it's safe to call Jedi being unable use Force during bullshit.

oh and there's the arena fight in AOTC before the jedi arrived (if that jump Anakin made wasn't unnatural please show me that).

and as people have pointed out, Tom Riker was in a fedaration that had power so he wasn't in exactly grave danger.

I won't even go to the Rebel organization.

so Klingon pimple do you got anything else then, hallow arguments and poweless insults.

If you want something exciting, post something intelligent.
Without his lightsaber, a jedi is nothing more an average humanoid fighter.
Bullshit.
(e.g., Luke against the Rancor;
Funny how said Rancor ate "average humanoid fighters" for breakfast.
Anakin & Obi-wan in the Genosia arena;
An "average humanoid fighter" could calm those beasts to the point where they could ride them?
Obi-Wan v. Grevious).
An "average humanoid fighter" can pull apart metal chest plates?
He can't use his "mind crushing" skills in times of panic, either. (e.g., Luke against the Rancor; Anakin & Obi-wan in the Genosia arena; Obi-Wan v. Grevious).
You really need to learn the difference between "can't" and "didn't"
and what of telekinesis? shoot, for all we know SISSY SPACEK/"CARRIE" was a jedi. what good would she do in the Star Wars universe? spray a water hose over stormtroopers? (hmm, might work against the Emperor's "Finest Legion" on the Endor Moon).
You think either of those examples would be "average humanoid fighters"?

I findf it amusing that anyone can say that Jedi are "ordinary humanoid fighters" after the Clone Wars cartoon series came out. Or that Jedi can't use their powers while in combat. For fuck's sake, the attack on Coruscant had Yoda smashing giant troop ships together.

cute pic, you're probably uglier than burnt faced Anakin. Gorch's theory: The cuter the pic, the uglier the poster behind the comp, hence the need to hide behind a cute mask.

you add 3 responses to the thread thereby ADDING WEIGHT TO THE THREAD, then claim the subject matter is light to you. what hypicrosy. your 2 options:

1) you no longer respond to the thread, only proving your hypocrisy that you were originally excited by posting 3 responses, proving my point:

2) you respond to my post, overtly expressing your excitement, only proving your hyprocisy, either way I win.

Servo (& Tom C): you revealed one misstep in my original post. Riker's planet was clearly not "barren" and was a habitable M Class planet. Kaplock to you for this.

As for this post:
Funny how said Rancor ate "average humanoid fighters" for breakfast.
lucky thing the bones of the prior "average humanoid fighter" was there for Luke to gag the Rancor, or else Luke's carcass would have been the gag weapon for the next
An "average humanoid fighter" could calm those beasts to the point where they could ride them?
the real awe was them riding that thing without a saddle, ouch!
