In Russia, the legal marriage age (with the parents' consent) is 16.

Another post promoting Mother Russia, form SD.net's Resident Russian.

Have a very nice day.

In some palces in America, can't people as young as 14 get married?
I think it's 16 with parental consent.

Each state sets its own age of consent and marriage age. A few both as low as 14, most are more like 16 or 17, with some at 15 or 18.

I'm reasonably sure the states that allow 14 yos to get married require parental consent, as well.

It's 18 without parental consent, I think. Here, 16 is the age of sexual consent (or is it 17?). However, I think it's 18 before you're allowed to marry without parental consent basically nationwide. But Imight be wrong.

My "friend" Dennis got married to a 14year old from South America in California, No problems.... (Aside from everybody who knew him from high school wanting to kick his ass & rip his balls off.)

Of course they now have 4 kids, and have been married 15 years now (So I guess she's 29 now, with their oldest in High School)

Dude, it's long gone. No chance in hell that it'll see this thread (if I'm wrong correct me, Lena).
