Battle of the Line force addition

Post by IDMR »

I shouldn't do this really... But the temptation is too great.

Premises: As seen in the Babylon 5 episode: Battle of the Line

One of the following forces will appear ten light minutes behind the Minbari battle line. What will they do, any how will they fair?

-Imperium of Man Crusading Fleet
Space Marine Fortress Monastery x 1
Space Marine Battle Barge x 4
Space Marine Strike Cruiser x 24
Emperor-class Battleship x 4
Apocalypse-class Battleship x 1
Retribution-class Battleship x 4
Dauntless-class Light Cruiser x 24
Cobra-class Destroyer x 48
Firestorm-class Frigate x 72

-Darth Vader's Death Squadron with additional support forces
Executor-class Super Star Destroyer x 1
Giel-class Star Battlecruiser x 2
Allegiance-class Star Destroyer x 8
Imperator-I-class Star Destroyer x 10
Imperator-II-class Star Destroyer x 10
Victory-class Star Destroyer x 20
Strike-class Cruiser x 30
Lancer-class Frigate x 50
Nebulon-B-class Frigate x 50
Marauder-class Corvette x 80
Corellian-class Gunship x 80

[NOTE]: The Death Squadron have TIE-interceptors

-The entire Theban fleet (as seen in Crusade by David Weber)
Not sure. But at least twenty Starfire style Super Dreadnaughts

All of the various added forces realise that they have absolutely no reason to get involved in the battle, and leave.

And thus, the powers of modding are discovered, and abused.

Not necc true thew IoM force seeing the obvious aggresion by a non-human agency upon a Human force step in on the Earth Alliance's side, together they coolectivly smash the Membari, and atart the counter attack. The Minbari attempts to surrender are ignored and the Earth Alliance finds itself added to the Imperium without even noticing it. ((Grateful population accept a few changes here and there...))

Who, me? ::attempts to look innocent, fails miserably::

Really, I can't post another post when I am accusing others of post-padding, now can I? Yeah, that's it. Yep.

I did choose the forces which have a reasonable chance to actually take part in combat, you know.

The IoM's reasons had already been stated. The Thebans are fanatics for 'Holy Mother Terra'. If they can recognize Earth I hardly think they will stand idly by when an alien force attacks her. The SW forces is the least likely to become involved, but with Darth Vader on the helm one never knows.

And the idea to choose a guy from SB as a moderator was good...why?

I have enough trouble with abusive mods using their godlike powers to protect OBS from attacks and bullshit tests on SB. Now they came here.

And note who are the mods. IDMR and Sheridan!

And I was looking forward to doing some trolling.

Anyway, getting back on topic...

In fact the scary thing about adding the IoM is if the Minbari still know about the Soul's thing... could they even fight back?

They wouldn't really learn about that so soon, would they?

And what do you think an Eldar taskforce would do?
