Well he did elaborate, he said the Meg-tank was a toy they were working on for Hasbro.

Dug this up regarding the humorous bullshit; Roberto Orci says to IGN a couple of weeks ago:
It's an extreme [jump] from the first one. The outrageous, crazy humor is more outrageous, but then so is the serious side of it and so is the stakes of the Transformers plot and the seriousness with which some of their mythology is treated. So it kind of swings wildly between those two extremes, and that I think was one of the successful parts of the first movie. Again, some of the die hard fans will be equally annoyed at some of the things they see, but I can also say they will be more gratified than they were for the first one, to see how some of the Transformers story and how their battle takes place in the second one.
I'm not entirely sure what to make of it.

What's funny about Decepticon's revenge which includes massive destruction of human hardware and the humans in it? Lots of dead people perhaps? Well, if the humor is blacker than a July night, it might even work.

I was under the impression that that was The Fallen as it looks to be the same face as was on the teaser poster and was also a hell of a lot bigger than the other transformers.

Apparently that's just one of the Constructicons who transforms into a giant power shovel, not the ones we usually see by the side of the road. So, the Devastator gestalt is gonna be gargantuan.

"The Fallen" character is probably a red herring anyway.

I'll admit I'm not following the latest spoilers (since I don't want to have anything spoiled) but AFAIK the Fallen was a lameass magic villain that doesn't fit the new TF mythos.

There's enough "Revenge of the Fallen" in the Decepticons combing back for round two.

We're supposed to find the true origins of the Transformers themselves, so it's anyone's guess what we'll see. The All-Spark was practically magic in the way the technology worked, it was so beyond even the Transformers themselves.

That huge transformer actually has two wheels. You can see the back wheel as the transformer tips to the front.
But if the forces of evil should rise again, to cast a shadow on the heart of the city.

I'm leaning toward this as well, Megatron could easily be the titular "fallen," having been defeated and dumped in the ocean in the first movie.

And now because nothing is ever sacred in the world of Chinese labor and toys, here's some massive spoilers thanks to our toy scalping friends. And I mean it, don't click the link if you don't want to be spoiled.

Massive Spoilers in toy form.

Hasbro's on the case. Though you can see those images elsewhere.

Meanwhile, new Starscream. Shinier and sleeker.

Nowt wrong with the original Starscream, but I never bought one (my bro is the Starscream fanboy; I got Blackout first).

I'm wondering what the gestalt forms will be like. I mean, if they can form a huge Devastator, assuming the Voyager class toys can form it, that is.

Oh come on, the Starscream toy looked an F-22 crash-landed on two tanker trucks. The new one at least vaguely resembles a plane-ish thing.

That's because of the firing mechanism, which was nifty, if bulky. This incarnation is more accurate, granted. The cars tend to be the easiest for making most similar to the real models.

I know, I've got the old and new Camaros sitting around here somewhere. The old one's a bit dodgy but the new one blends in with the regular model cars (Hah! How's that for truth in advertising?)

I've not heard of anything, but it'd be awesome to have a Voyager scale gestalt. It'd be far larger than previous toys, IIRC, and be even more incentive to get the whole set. I can only wonder if the Autobots will get something too, since I don't see a way in hell for them to deal with even one of the larger Constructicons without a good chunk of the US military involved.
