I do. When they stopped animating new episodes of 'Transformers'-- the recycled crap they call, 'Transformers: Generation Two' doesn't count-- I depended on that cartoon for my weekly fix of transforming robot action. But DAMN did it have a bad theme song.
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.

Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.

They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

Ah, yes. That theme song was definitely one of the worst of all time. "Take it to the max...bot master!" And something about putting on "3D shades".
When two opposite points of view are expressed with equal intensity, the truth does not necessarily lie exactly halfway between them. It is possible for one side to be simply wrong.

God, that show was really lame. I remember watching it occasionally when I was 12 exclusively because I didn't like it.

The theme song wasn't that bad, though. Compared to the show itself, it was stellar. :P

Oh, Hell Yeah!

I can't remember much of the show other than the fact that I loved it, but one scene has always stuck with me.

The death of Pilot.
Me too. I was in shock.

Stracynski went on to create Babylon-5 (as a matter of fact, there is a one line reference there, Tank mentions that he escaped from B-5).

Stracynski mentions something he never got a chance to put in Captain Power. As it turns out, there is a inner sanctum inside Volcania where Lord Dread goes every night. In it is the first human ever to have their mind transferred to a gleaming metalloid body. It's Dread's mother. And she has been driven totally insane by the process...

I'm a big fan of Bank's stuff. I also really enjoy Vernor Vinge's scifi stuff, especially a Fire Upon the Deep.

The Metabarons, perhaps my favourite comics of all time, are apparently quite obscure on the Internet.

Wasn't that the one with "Seafort's Folly" as one of the books in the series, and they fought weird giant "fish" aliens that were basically giant spacegoing creatures? I loved that one.
The books all have Hope somewhere in the title. Generally in the format 'X's Hope' though there are a couple of books with titles like 'X of Hope'. I just wish the guy'd hurry up and release book eight because book seven had a gigantic cliff-hanger of an ending and that was released years ago!

My favorite obscure sci-fi is easily D.F. Jones' Colossus trilogy.

The better line was this

Captain"why's he black?" (the captain refering to their infantry robot)

"I wanted him to be perfect" :D

For me as a kid one show that I watched so much the tape wore done. V. I just bought them all on DVD and watched them back to back. It was like being a kid again, the shots of Motherships over every earth landmark (independence day anyone?), the third reich style take over and all those fit women. My theory is that the Visitors where here for a three things. Water, food and reliable zippers for the female on the go because every female uniform seems to be only able to close three quarters up.
