Alright, I've been decided it might be entertaining to see what would be made of this one.

Anita Blake & Co.
Versus
Buffy & Gang.

Buffy's gang from the time of the Institute, and Anita's from Narcicus in Chains. The Scoobies can also get Rielly and some of his folks with them, and have access to all thier usual resources such as the content of the magic shop. Anita has the marks at the point where she doesnt have a hole in her chakra, but Mischa and co are not on the scene, so it's Anita with her Were's, Jean Claude and Richard.

Who wins?

PS, this also means at this point Anita has the Aduer, so it's bound to end in some kind of sex one way or the other

Buffy
Willow
Xander
Giles
Riley
An unspecified number of Initiative guys.
Perhaps Oz or Spike, depending on the period.

I know little of this Blake. But judging by the powers listed in the other thread, Buffy loses badly. Remember, most anything > Buffy.

To true, Buffy is a very low-powered series, especially early on.

Buffy is on par with things like Big Trouble in Little China the original Universal Monsters(IE: Lagosi's Dracula, Carloff's Frankenstien, Lon Chaney's Mummy, Wolfman, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon), The X-Files, Evil Dead, etc.

Why people insist on pitting Buffy against things that they'll generally lose too is adgitating...and has just the faintest hint of mysoginy...

Everyone, please remember Buffy (in general) <guns, the only instances she has dodgd bullets comes from handguns, at ranges of 20+ft, usually with cover readily available. Use this as a benchmark.

Oh dear god, why do you hate them so?

One main character from Anitaverse could probably take out the whole gang(the wild card being potential Uber-Willow, and possibly Vengeance Demon Anyanka, neither of which apply at the time specified). They had better hope this is post-Oz, because if its not, Oz just joined the other team(Master vamp that can control wolves plus bad-ass alpha werewolf= new bitch-boy for the pack.)

The normal anti-vamp tricks aren't going to work well at all against Jean-Claude, who will pretty much own anyone he makes eye contact with, and with his powers of voice, no one is going to be able to look away.
Richard by himself will tear the entire team apart, before shifting to werewolf form, and Anita will shoot any survivors before raping Xander, and making him her second Pomme de Sange. This completely ignores the army of zombies Anita could raise, or her ability to suck all of the life out of anyone she gets close to.
The best case ending for this for the Scoobies is for them to end up under Jean-Claude's thrall, anything else pretty much means their deaths.

Hey being a hitman specialising in things that rip people to bits is a valid career choice.....though you do have to wonder about the uzi's and the flamethrowers if he's compensating
